I heard the manga was overtly critiquing fan service, but for some reason the anime team decided to use it for actual (hamfisted & weird) lewding It caught me off guard because kaguya is more of a must-protecc character like Nezuko. More 'at all costs' forms being - Anya, Eri from MHA, and HxH Alluka. Maybe Hitomi from Hinamatsuri, another S+ tier comedy. The fireworks arc cemented those vibes, using it so strongly it's now part of the character.
