I love how Dante kept knocking Asta's swords away, and I love how we all expecting that Kurama moment and the devil be like, ah no sorry you're too weak O.o

I think the reason we as an audience don't really notice is because Black Clover doesn't lean heavy on the melodrama of those moments to try and pull on your emotions with dramatic death scenes. I've seen a lot of Naruto fans come from their shonen expecting Black Clover to be full of as much villain drama and sad stuff, high stakes and big death count, and are let down by Black Clover. But I dont think Black Clover was ever trying to be Naruto so I was never disappointed. Black Clover is like amalgamation of the last 30 years of Shonen that tries to keep all it's best inspiring messages and redo troupes and plot points better. I hope Lee and crew make a lot of Black Clover comparisons during upcoming bleach reactions <3

2022-04-17 01:15:10 +0000 UTCThe movie is not covering the entire Spade Kingdom Raid Arc unless you want the movie to be 5 hours long at the very least. It would be a dumb decision to have the movie adapt the rest of the Spade Arc when the whole point of stopping the anime was so that the manga can consistently stay ahead of the anime so that it never catches up just like MHA does. The movie is gonna be anime canon and the anime will hopefully return as a seasonal so that it can have better consistent animation that it rightfully so deserves and like I already said before it would also give time for the manga to keep gaining distance away from the anime.

That lines up with episode 158 in the anime. We are currently on chapter 329 and we’re not sure if it is ending soon. Oh and there is still no Charmy backstory.

Tabata wrote his SHONEN to be convenient to his cast so that ass pulls rarely happen unlike other Shonen who try to hide the convenience of their story and fall flat in lots of spots because of it

2022-04-13 17:47:18 +0000 UTCI mean it's a magic series, it's not like people are going to be on the edge of death if the same wound was on a character like from MHA or demon slayer, they've told us throughout the story as long as they have magic they can reinforce their body with magic to make it strong, Henry is literally the best example out of that, his body is so frail he would instantly die without magic yet he can easily keep himself alive and moving with mana. What's boring and adds fake tension is killing off characters when it doesn't make sense and they could actually be saved. Like people who wanted rhya to die but mimosa was standing right beside him, letting him die to add tension makes no sense in a situation like that, it's fake tension. I'm personally glad Tabata actually uses his characters brains instead of writing them to not help in a situation where they obviously can, just so that someone dies and adds that disgusting fake tension Lmao

Try and up the tension by making the main character seem like they are about to die and killing off literal no name background characters to make it seem as if it is super serious. Hopefully black clover gets enough balls to kill off a semi important character before it ends because I would at least not have as big of a problem after that with how much they say sike on asspulls of deaths.
