I will binge it when it's done airing but atm I'm more intrested in these, - I'm Quitting Heroing (hero joining Demon King army) - The Greatest Demon Lord Is Reborn as a Typical Nobody - Date A Live IMO, these are much better than shield hero season 2 and I'm enjoying these a lot more so far.

They are probably trying to get to story going then bring in “things they missed” you can’t adapt an LN or manga 1 to 1 just not gonna happen for the most part . Skeleton is literally an OP character beating everyone up and then village sim. They both are slow and need more episodes

2022-04-15 11:21:47 +0000 UTCDont even go there. The promsied neverland was changed so much, that it wasnt the same series as before. Shield hero skipping a few scenes isnt even comparable to that. Nothing they skipped is needed for the major story line, it just adds to the character interactions. Nothing they skipped is needed for this arc. And this arc will probably be around 12 episodes(maybe a bit less). They can always focus on Naofumis village after that, since from an anime perspective it makes more sense to do it that way

2022-04-15 11:11:50 +0000 UTCas someone who has read both LN, i think shield will be more popular soon. First off everyone complaining about them skipping stuff in shield should think again. Sure they skipped a few scenes, but it wouldnt really work to insert them in the anime rn. They will do flash backs, if needed. But it seems they want to focus on the spirit tortoise arc and will focus a lot on what will happens after that. None of the scenes skipped are needed for this. They are basically extra nice content, but nothing needed for the major story line(similar to slime diaries, fun but not needed for the anime). The first season was like the prologue of the series. The stuff that will happen in S2 and beyond that, are far more interesting. I would have loved more focus on Naofumis village, but they can do that after this arc too. Second, skeleton knight is a action comedy and has a few interesting plot points. But it mostly revolves around a strong MC, a few big fights and funny character interactions. But not really an interesting story line to follow. Not to discredit skeleton knight, since both series have their strong points. I love to read both series, but i think shield hero is the better one. In conclusion, LN readers are way to focused on the parts missing in shield hero. And anime onlys think the series isnt fun anymore without the revenge plot. Give the anime 1-2 episodes and people will begin to see where the series is headed. And LN readers should understand by now, that you cant adapt a LN 1 to 1 to an anime. Anime onlys are already thinking it will be boring, how do you guys think they would react to a village building sim, without any major plot points and action.

There is the issue with what was missed out and added in at the end of last season that needs to be sorted out. Give Shield Hero a bit more time

Green Hair girl is just bland, pink girl hair is just there suddenly, The same problems again and again, Heroes not working together, Humans being selfish After an entire season of that, it got old really fast.

2022-04-15 05:13:36 +0000 UTCI think Shield Hero is worth covering since S3 is already in production but the urgency wouldn't matter to me since the show's pacing is very rushed in their limited 13 eps. Skeleton Knight is cool but if you are gonna choose to cover another anime airing rn instead of Shield Hero make a poll between Skeleton Knight and "I'm Quitting Heroing". I think both are solid (equal ratings and viewership), I prefer Quitting Heroing since its like Anos but in a more comedic and not just flaunting power he's a cool character.
