its not like it was a joke in the manga, he was just there one panel and gone the next. No explanation or anything and next time we see him he's in his next location, I remember reading weekly and everyone was confused on where zoro went.

Episode 1 aired Oct 20 1999 and episode 907 aired on Oct 20 2019 exactly 20 years later to celebrate the anniversary. Its an episode that showcases Oda's original idea for One Piece before he chose the current plot line and is based on one of his original mangas called "Romance Dawn"

2022-04-15 21:59:34 +0000 UTCLike I said, it's LIKE an un-aired pilot episode, that it was made for One Piece's anniversary and that it was based on storyboards that Oda originally used to propose One Piece to the producers. From the familiarity of the characters and the plot in spite of it being different from the One Piece that we know today, in that it's very much LIKE a pilot episode shown to producers, one which underwent many changes afterwards before it was finally greenlit for production. Also, if Oda was ever to take 907 and fully expand it into a spin-off series I would watch the hellfire out of it. 😎

A lot of elements of his earlier short stories made it into One Piece. And a few are even considered canon. Like Ryuma from Monsters is clearly the basis of what Zoro would be, with a little bit of Luffy. It's why their fight in Thriller Bark was so great.

To be exact it's a special anniversary episode made by Oda based on the storyboards that Oda used to propose One Piece to the producers. It's an interesting look at what One Piece could have been and a fire episode in its own right. To reiterate, please do watch episode 907 soon. P. S. I loved this reaction and am looking forward to more from you soon.

Lol This was so like "out of place" in the story and more like, why from the past? Usually time travel is from future to past but this time is from the past. Literally Oda is so freaking crazy. Lol
