yes that is correct majority of the attacks Luffy used was filler cuz in the manga as soon as he went Gear Fourth Luffy didnt even get a chance to get a hit in cuz Kaido struck him immediately after he tried and knocked him out. Kaido was too fast for Luffy to react in the manga. In the anime they wanted to extend the scenes to push the content back since it was catching up to the manga but they used this as an opportunity to also show viewers that even if Luffy had used all those attacks in the manga they still wouldve done Kaido no damage

Sometimes it’s best to go into an episode and not be influenced by other sources. I remember the community fussing about this. Not gonna let myself go through that again lol

Human, full animal, and animal-human hybrid. Well kaido’s weakest form is actually his dragon form. Not to say he’s weak just he’s stronger as a human and strongest as a hybrid

In the manga Luffy didn’t even have the chance to use any of his moves before the Thunder Bagua hit him after he went Gear Fourth

2022-04-22 16:08:23 +0000 UTCThe biggest wake-up call in One Piece. After WCI a lot of fans thought Luffy was invincible. And to bw honest I was pretty confident in Luffy too. After going up against the GOAT Katakuri Luffy was stronger than ever. Then Kaido comes along, lets Luffy try to hurt him in Gear Fourth, instead of getting angry he is disappointed, then proceeds to turn Luffy into fodder. Oda really knows how to live up to the hype. We all needed this.

I’m ok with the back and forth because at the end of the day it didn’t do anything to Kaido and he’s drunk. Kaido just one shotted him and that’s it. The aura was just anger

2022-04-22 13:23:54 +0000 UTCOne thing I’ll add is that the Thunder Bagua was actually animated wrong and I’m sure they’ll fix it in the future but it’s even crazier than what u see. The Thunder Bagua is actually a speed blitz sorta move it’s not just like a powerful swing. So Luffy did all that and Kaido just dashed at him and sent him flying in an instant.
