They are sometimes decent to watch, but they have no real worth usually for me. Re:Zero is a masterpiece, because there is always danger for Subaru. Same is with AOT, both those stories are amazing, because the characters are actually in danger.

On the "inside" he's still whatever race he chose within the game, so he still has the taste, and stomach of his main race. That's why when he eats and drinks, nothing comes out from within the armor.

The MobuSekai was also one of my favorite mangas but they really did it dirty execution felt very cheap as well. HOWEVER! I've seen the CM for Emminece in the Shadow and it's hype af it looks well done! Hoping YaBoyRocklee would cover it or at least put it up in the polls so we can vote for it,

I only started to get interested when they introduced the political aspect. to be fair its only 3 episodes. I actually like kenja no mago cause of the magic mechanics.

2022-04-25 16:48:39 +0000 UTCThis is just my opinion, but this is a pretty bland isekai. It's not the worst, but it isn't really good either. The reason why people like OP characters so much is because they are often badass when they deal with enemies. But OPness alone is not the same as badassery. I don't feel any impact in this show, probably aside from the first few seconds of episode 1. To make this impact they often build up the enemy up like Tanya's enemies getting god's blessings, or hyping them up like Overlord, or the MCs giving themselves handicap like No Game No Life,or making the MC suffer so much like ReZero/Redo of Healer/Shield Hero (for revenge boner) or by being making the enemies asshats like in Maou Gakuin/Shield Hero(which is why s2 seems kinda lackluster coz the asshats king and princess are pretty much gone). This makes it all the more satisfying when the MC shuts them down by flexxing their powers/abilities. In Skeleton Knight however, there is none of that. Which makes the badass scene very stale, with no impact. They are very powerful but thats it, no clever schemes or tactics or misdirects, just plowing through every enemy like nothing. This is very similar to other low tier isekais like isekai with a smartphone, Kenja no mago, Master of Ragnarok, Isekai cheat magician etc etc.
