An "adaptation" is presenting the source media in a new media. A derivative work is changing plot, characters etc... based on the source media. As a webtoon reader I am torn. I enjoyed the visual representation of the brilliant webtoon, but like & dislike some of the changes they made.

2023-11-20 03:45:22 +0000 UTCThis is an old reaction but I wanted to comment on Cha Hyunsu "nodding no" when the kid asked if he could fix the broken dinosaur toy; in Korean the kid asked "can you not fix it?" to which he answers "yes" (indicating the kid is correct and that he can't fix it) but English doesn't like double negatives as much as Korean, so those types of questions get translated the simple way "can you fix it?" "no" I get turned around answering questions in Korean because of the structure of sentences like that, and the way you need to not necessarily answer the question directly but tell the person asking if they are correct in their statement or not.

You may have your dumb moments, but we all have those, lol. Director is right with a lot of things being left open and not explained for the viewer, haha; I agree. I always think like that when I watch something cause my mind is analyzing a lot of things and trying to decipher the questions the shows give us.

I don’t know if they will amplify his backstory, but he considers himself a wolf and the church scene tells us everything, cause he said they all killed each other, but is that actually true? It might’ve been him that killed everyone or maybe he possessed different bodies so they kill each other like Lee mentioned. This was a very original show and I really liked it. Curious for Season 2, which will premiere soon.

Around ep2-3 it was stated that if you go to call a number and just leave it ringing. Then whenever you hear that high pitch noise means there’s a monster nearby

I thoroughly enjoyed the webtoon but I found this series kind of confusing to follow with all the changes and some things that were explained clearly in the webtoon seem lost in translation in the live action

2022-04-28 17:38:26 +0000 UTCI heard from webtoon readers that they butchered this adaptation and hate this tv series. they said they change the plot, the characters relationship and added characters (the firefighter girl). So Its like they adapted 30% of it then made their own story.
