Nothing suggests that he shouldnt be able to lift the plane but he would definitely damage it.. If it was just psychic levitation than that would be different. In addition in the comic superman had a biofield that allowed him to interact with objects at different velocity.

And if Homelander couldn't save all of them than it's not worth it, it won't make him look good enough for him to affect the vote to get supes in the army, but using their deaths to show how much they're needed worked wonders and really showed his empathetic side on TV. I mean why would Homelander do more than what's necessary for some "mud" people he doesn't even care about. I'm just saying there's a difference between not caring and being lazy.

I think he's just really reckless with his powers and also doesn't really care about saving people, he just wants a good public image so he just cut his loses. Even director's thing with flying down really slow wouldn't have worked because it would still be too much weight focused on one point, that plane at minimum weighed like 30,000 pounds. He's still shitty I'm not saying he's not.

Also couldn't give less of a shit about an apology. Also couldn't even bother to remember the main character when directly looking at him in the face after what he did. Also willing to drug up again to cheat in a race that is supposed to be fair and potentially could have caused another scenario like he did when he was drugged up and killed the girlfriend but that clearly doesn't matter to him. Also worries about his image more than anything else. Yeah adorkable lets just completely forget about the entire set up of why the main character hates the seven and primarily A train. Having an excuse or two like what you are stating is not grounds for what you are saying about him. The definition of trash after what has been shown.

So you’re expecting the new episode to be released on Wednesdays as a result. I record Komi on Sundays and i give myself by Wednesday to release it. The amount of force it would take to stop or move the plane, all concentrated on a point the size of a human, the metal of the hull just can't take it and he's fly straight through it, same reason he can't get all 123 people out, the speed he would have to fly to get them all out would liquefy them. He'll people brought this up and they even gave superman and alot of other heros powers to prevent this, superman has a small forcefield a few centimeters off his body that adds to his durability, it's also why his suit rarely gets damaged. He can also extend this forcefield to things he is touching, making it similarly indestructible, hence why superman can catch someone while he's moving Mach 1000000 or stop a falling plane, hut homelander doesn't have that, he just has strength, speed, flight and some vision powers

Als the seeies was engaging in serious physics there, even if lifting the plane would be easy for Homelander he’s simply not big enough to guide the plane to a landing, he’d need some kind of powerful mesh to spread out the force of him pushing or pulling. Lift from above and the roof rips off and the plane does a flip, lift from below and he pierces the bottom. The force required to stop the plane is achievable but without widely distributimg the force there’s nothing he can do. It’s the principle of the guys wjo lie on beds of nails, except the guy is a plane and there’s only one nail so the guy would just get struck through.
