While they've done quite a few "smart" shows like Steins;Gate and COTE, I think it's clear if you're watching a lot of their vids that Lee and Director ABSOLUTELY LOVE so called "trash" shows because they can relax and have fun with it without being too worried about missing details and getting their heads exploded every 5 minutes. Even as I say that, Date a Live is absolutely a smarter show than it first lets on, after all 22 novels have been published you can go back to the very first episode and see some crazy foreshadowing that won't pay off until Season 5 of the anime next year in 2023.

If you guys continue don't forget the OVAs/side stories (like, Date A Bullet: Dead or Bullet & Date A Live II: Kurumi Star Festival) and there is a movie between season II & III. Though, the first 2 episodes I almost dropped it, but near the end of the 3rd episode, I had to keep watching. Still not a show to take the plot seriously, its a fun show, but has a few moments were it does get serious, and its those serious moments that I kept going back for.

This is one of those shows that I've seen the first few episodes of multiple times cause it seems like it's right down my alley but for one reason or another I never finish. But, I felt the same way about Tanya the Evil for the longest time (different genre but another one I could never commit to past 1-2 episodes) and I wound up watching the whole series and the movie here with you guys. So let's do it again.
