2022-12-29 14:41:26 +0000 UTCNot that it takes centuries, but that the heroes are summoned every few centuries to deal with the waves. They don't normally summon them unless there are waves of catastrophe to deal with - largely because summoning four random people and giving them legendary weapons is a bad idea - see motoyasu, ren and itsuki for more clarification. They said at the beginning that they can simply summon 4 more when all 4 are dead. Its been so long since Fitoria's hero was around because of how long it been since the last waves.

Remember fitoria even said the hero even said it's been centuries since his hero was alive. But yeah the wild theories that came from missing some lines in the earlier episodes is too funny
