She played him like a dollar store harmonica, made a fool of him again and again, lied to him - and I bet he asked if she even loved him at all, how much you want to bet the slave crest reacted when she said yes, and now you want him to save her? But you right, she fully intends to kill them here, though in the manga she begged him to spare them; shield hero wasn't exactly plagued by guilt in the manga.

And historically speaking, Melty's about at the age a princess would be married off by, because women don't get more fertile just because its matriarchy.
