Also Naofumi was a hero before he got brought over to the isekai, he got his brother out of some serious shit if you remember the first episode, they didn't say what it was (so probably drugs or serious crime) but it was enough that his parents basically told him he could live at home jobless and they would continue to furnish his allowance, so you know it was some bad shit.
