They are talking about from the perspective of a weekly watch from back then not like binging episodes (also from the fact that anime almost caught up with manga in that point). You would rarely see that happening as you are watching more episodes than just one episode a week. Also can people shut up about pacing.... i dont think YBRl would've noticed any kind of pacing issue (may be rarely) if everyone wasnt screaming out of their lungs about it but now subconsciously will just look for pacing problem... man these people just want to put their opinion on others ..let them construct their own opinion first
