Since could only rent the main building and was going into debt so eventually someone might be able to find a way to get the zones around Akihabara and you become a prisoner in your own city. And while yes there may have been another solution, what happens if others find the solution first and you are screwed. That is not something I would risk on maybes and what-nots when you already have a solution. Just my 2 cents
