2021-08-10 04:30:44 +0000 UTCThere’s a small moment towards the end of the fight that’s hard to notice in a first watch but is a very important part of Giorno’s character development. There’s been a contrast this whole part between Giorno’s niceness (His Jonathan side) and his cruelty (His Dio side). He hasn’t really known who he is yet as he interchanges between these different personality traits. But when he kills Cioccolata he combines his Jonathan side with his Dio side. Giorno uses his politeness to trick Cioccolata into a false sense of security before unleashing the cruelty of his Dio side on him. In this moment Giorno discovers who he truly is. He is not Jonathan or Dio. He is something else. He is both of their best traits combined into the perfect anti-hero.
