It's HIDIVE-only, so many people don't know it exists yet (similar to Eminence in Shadow's situation). It's like a mix between Berserk and Demon Slayer, but a bit darker than your average anime. quiet neutral voice Kobayashi Chiaki (Stark, Gabimaru from Hell's Paradise, Mashle) is super strong but people don't know and he uses his super strong OP powers to beat back the vampires, I mean dragons. They switched it to dragons at the last minute, and you can tell in the anime - the bosses all have human forms that look like standard anime vampires. They are weak to silver & sunlight -_- Occasional entertaining fights, pretty bloody/brutal/edgy but very mid as far as real peak goes (neither are Solo Leveling or Arifuerta lets be real). There's just so many amazing anime out there, critically acclaimed and won top spots through voting for 'best of' lists on reddit, like Kino's Journey from 2003 or Shinsekai Yori (from the new world) that are interesting, thought provoking, have brutality, and feel like proper art. Brainded shonen starts to all blend together, it's only art among a few meh dimensions. I legit cannot remember any of the anime details beyond silver kills dragons, he kills a time control 'dragon' by killing her repeatedly/fast enough, and he's like, suuper strong cuz another stronger version of him from future transferred all his powers to avoid worst case scenarios. Still mildly enjoyable but legit felt like wasting life watching. There's another anime with 'champions' other worlders from around the same season that's intriguing, brutal, dope worldbuilding, moving backstories, that has me invested for s2. ISHURA

First up there is a new animation (English) on Netflix called "Twilight of The Gods" created by Zack Snyder of DC Universe. What's interesting is that it's focuses on Norse Mythology with the leads being Thor and Loki (Known Marvel characters). I would love to hear you guys' take on this. Full disclaimer it is explicit and not kid friendly (e.g. full non-censored male and female nudity, strong sexual umm tri-sexual NC scenes, as well as adult language and content). This one is something else. Secondly, knowing that you guys have already watched "The Witch: Subversion and The Witch 2 movies I recommend the series "Tyrant" as a space filler reaction. Tyrant is the spinoff from the movies and only 4 has episodes but they are packed with action and the storyline does not stray from the movies. I wish there were more episodes of this one because it was a beast.

I know it's a massive series, but have you guys ever thought about checking out Gintama? Definitely THE comedy anime for anime lovers. Series finished up in 2019, last movie was out in 2021, and it's really just fun nonsense with heavy emotional moments sprinkled throughout. Also, way more dead bodies just lying around than I ever expected out of a Shonen anime, much less Gintama, holy shit some episodes were dark AF.

HINAMATSURI - made me laugh more in first 3 episodes than entirety of Konosuba S3. On YouTube for SoS bros it gets 50-70k views per episode and had them struggling to breathe, which is the same thing I watch/love this channel for. There's so much degen/lewd, trashy and mid anime in the collection - this is not one of em. Shield Hero sucks, y'all agreed. Angel Next Door, Legendary Hero is Dead, Black Clover, irregular, Chained Soldier - all kinda letdowns/underwhelming, leaving basically no emotional impact. Hinamatsuri has the comedy & incredible moments on occasion that hit way harder. Great father-daughter dynamic with Yakuza member, best portrayal of homelessness in all of anime. Some jokes don't land, but less than w/ Uncle from Another World, while having same top-tier laughs. 12 episodes.

I won't say unbearably mid - cuz sometimes I can fully unlock my brain's capability to be turned off when tired & high asf, and then Moonlight fantasy can be enjoyable But the animation is so weak it ruins any immersion/hype, tons of stills and boring background art, everything has generic power fantasy vibes with few interesting dynamics. The characters fall flat, all one-note & no real growth, mostly there to just do their gag ("no banana, no life!"- love her character design but c'mon), endless fawning over MC from subordinates. soundtrack is painfully generic & stale. But the show is popular in Japan, at least as seen from torrent sites. It's accessible, like a significantly worse version of Spy x Family

Do you all plan on reacting to "Shogun"? It's a new TV series on FX/Hulu that I think you all would love. It's a 10 Ep series, releasing weekly, based on a world famous novel. The cast have done an incredible job, and every scene looks amazing, they truly paid close attention to detail making sure everything was perfect.

Agreed, I've been enjoying the anime adaptation of "Wrong Way", they changed up just enough from the manga to keep it fresh while staying true without going panel for panel and disappointing like Record of Ragnarok. Its not amazing or anything but solid storytelling in my opinion. As far as 'Trashekai' goes its definitely towards the top of the barrel just in terms of objective quality. The problem as always is hype; no matter how enjoyable the series without enough hype its just not gonna get reactions and while that is kind of a catch 22 that's just how it is unfortunately. The real tragedy is when gems like "How a Realist Hero Saved the Kingdom" or "A Returner's Magic Should be Special" slip through the hype cracks due to real world issues or country lines respectively and some solid storytelling goes underappreciated.

I've been wanting to say this (people have prolly stated the same) but I consider you the best reactor/content creator in the medium. You guys don't underreact nor overreact your reactions and it feels more natural. Moreover, your pre and post discussions give off an impression that these shows aren't simply being watched blindly/half-assed for the sake of monetization etc. Having entertaining creators with good chemistry, showing virtually genuine interest and honesty on shows they watch with open-minded personalities is extremely rare in anime react content, and... gotta say you'd be on top of the list lol. It's like you guys are just hanging out and enjoying yourselves, not like others who sit and look like they're being pointed by a gun. I'm currently in psychology studies and many reactors see black and white then spell it, while you guys make use of the color wheel, it's a great sight. More importantly, you made me give a second look at Eminence in Shadow LMAO. I originally dropped that series, but it's now become one of my genuine favorites. Dont think you guys did a show like this before and it might be a watch on your own time since it would be a huge commitment but anyways: The show is "The Kings Avatar", Chinese live action, so far 1 season aired in 2019, 40 episode each 35-40 minutes. Straight out of the way i got to say, you cant post this on Youtube, it will 100% get claimed each time. The show is basicly a similiar concept to Oshi no Ko, but eSports, also with a little less depression and a bit more comedy. There is both live action and anime adaption for this (both chinese). The live action focuses on the eSports side and the slice of life and behind the scenes of professional players, while the anime focuses more on the game. The live action is definitely the better watch. The show was quite popular on the asian side, but havent heard much here in the west (probably due to availability)

It actually does seem (edit- unfortunate but understandable) that they aren’t watching shangri-la frontier seeing as how it’s not only right up their alley but is also the best looking show this season after frieren (in my opinion). Though it does have much more action than frieren. I suppose you can’t catch all of the good shows on release with a schedule as packed as Lee’s, but I really hope they hop on the shangri-la train soon. Better late than never!

Yo Lee, Shangri-LA Frontier is an amazing show that you guys should 100% be adding next time u have space as the market will definitely show. VR gaming anime that has probably the best visuals this season with an actually interesting MC. Another Fantasy you guys might wanna check out is Faraway Paladin. Now this show had a s1 that aired I believe in tandem with S1 of Jobless reincarnation and now has a second season airing currently. and this show is a slow cooker fantasy style much like Frieren but also done a magnificent way. a very deep and detailed MC and a very well told story and amazing world lore. only problem for yall is the lack of harem but honestly its quite refreshing to have a good story without romance trippin up the MC.

Yeah, though I was thinking they would do it like they did bleach, watching like two to three episodes per sitting and posting it as a single post on Patreon. That would speed it up. Cause I think Gintama has more episodes than Bleach, it is not like a lot more. And most of the movies don't count since they are just updated versions of certain arcs. Only two movies really matter. The time travel one, and then the one at the very end that ends the series. As for filler, I don't think the fillers even count as fillers cause not only are they usually very entertaining, but still add stuff to the stories. Such as, characters that get introduced in some of the fillers will show up for important roles later on. It is actually my favorite anime of all time. And though I would understand if they don't ever react to it, it would be awesome if they did. Plus, I think they would truly enjoy it; it seems like their type of comedy and whatnot. But yeah, it is a big commitment of time.

I also asked for gintama before, but I get why they don't wanna react to it, because its a very big commitment. It's would be eating an entire slot for a many months or years even. It has 367 episodes, so if you watch one a day, it would still take a year, and it's not like one piece or dragonball that they could just watch the main story arcs and skip all fillers, because it won't make a difference. Out of the 367 episodes, only 22 of them are fillers. That doesn't even include the movies. Still I really believe that gintama would be a worthwhile react, because i think its the funniest anime I've ever seen. It's would always be in my top 5 of all time, and even in myanimelist.net voted rankings, they always managed to take multiple spots within the top 10, top 20, top 50 and top 100.

Something to keep in mind also is that while Gintama is often called "the Simpsons of Japan" because of its cult aspect and longevity, its humour is not for everybody. Personally I've liked it, it's the kind of show you're supposed to spend years watching and grow attached to the characters' gimmicks, but I've seen many people disappointed by it calling it unfunny or outdated. And I don't blame them. Because it's been years since I've watched it, and now that I'm older I don't know if I would watch it with the same mindset.

Ya'll should totally react to Gintama when ya'll have openings. It is my favorite anime of all time and definitely the top comedy anime of all time. It is long, like 350 episodes or so, plus a movie at the end. It is a GOAT amongst anime. It is one of those anime where you need to have watched plenty of other anime and understand a good amount of Japanese culture and history to appreciate it fully. But I think ya'll are at the level where you would all enjoy it. Do beware, it does have a rough start, so you might have to push through the first few episodes.

Hey Lee, I wanted to suggest Girlfriend, Girlfriend one of the funniest harem anime that I've seen. I know you guys just finished QQ but I feel this show is quite underrated. I think you and Director would enjoy the comedy and the male MC. Adorkable may get a kick out of it too but I would just love any reaction to it. I don't expect this show to get covered anytime soon with this packed season as well as Horimiya finishing up and Chuunibyou on the way. I may have suggested this one before, but Welcome to demon school Iruma-kun did finish up its third season this year, each with 20 episodes. It's pretty good (animation style is different but high quality) and if you need something to fill in some space for a while, either it or my other recent suggestion Golden Kamuy would be great. Golden kamuy is the better show, but that's like comparing breaking bad to a really good sitcom. They're both great. I'll probably suggest both of these every 6 months or so to lightly pester you tbh. Roshi has already gotten into golden kamuy and seemed to like it

Hey, while we wait for the new Baki season I thought you guys might wanna check out the OVA Grappler Baki: The Ultimate Fighter. It was made years before the 2001 anime and covers the fight with the Cord Cutter, but also includes another short fight the anime skipped. It's also better animated than both 2001 and the Netflix anime, in my opinion. I don't know if any streaming service like Crunchy has it, but you can at least find it with English dub on youtube.

When watching K-dramas I recommend putting the subs on "English (CC)". It'll show English subs as well (if you're talking over it we'll just miss out on the dialogue and the subs tend to make more sense as opposed to the regular "English" subs

It’s fine. In your position its not something to overthink. Essentially you made it to patreon 🙌🏽. Goal accomplished. I think 100% of you find us from youtube so low views mean small growth. A smaller amount of people join patreon as a result. We expect when you join patreon to stop watching on YouTube. The views just matter cuz i can note the correlation between high views and patreons. BUT BUT. Some genres get a higher patreon join than others and vice versa. For example despite the high views on RRR we saw minimal influx in patrons lol. Means those viewers dont covert you patrons. So high views or low views dont get the same results depending on who the viewers are. It’s actually quite complicated lol

I recommend exploring some 3D chinese shows. My sister got me caught on them a while back and they are extremely good quality. Swallowed Star is a good starter. Only problem is that you'll need official subs cause chinese shows have terrible fan translations most of the time

as much as I love that Anime and would love to see them react to it I don't think they are at the level to truly appreciate the show yet. Gintama references so many Japanese phrases and anime that if you don't know them the joke goes over your head. in their case they have focus on newer shows so they haven't seen most of the older earlier 2000s anime that people have recommend at some point in time since they generally focus on what's trending. plus Gintama puts me in the mind of one piece where everting is full circle and serves a purpose but seems to start off slow and aimless as far as plot though that's far from the truth. still its in my top 10 though! who knows maybe we will get surprise in 2023 and they will start reacting to more of the older underrated anime that they miss.

Would you be willing to react to the new Transformers cartoon Earthspark. It takes place years after the autobot decepticon war. Megatron is an autobot, Soundwave is the new decepticon leader etc. Its kid friendly but still has good action and the beginings to a deeper plot. Side note in most transformers stories now the backstory for the decepticons is that they were a slave revolution which I think could lead to some interesting discussions from you guys especially with the last few episodes.

I also think that regardless of what time Lee posts, it will be late for someone. He probably has patrons from all over the world in different time zones.. Its Sunday 6pm for me right now, but in Korea its Monday 7am. He will always have a group of people that are getting posts late at night, even if he decides to post in the morning/afternoon his time. Man. It used to be more half and half. But everytime I posted slightly later I’d get spammed comments for people expecting that time. So i had to set expectations that videos can come at anytime that day lol. But the intent is for you to basically…go to be lol. Respectfully. Wasn’t really anticipating you to stay up. My morning routine changed. If you see the Yaboyrocklee Show channel. I walk more in the mornings or go to the gym. I was prioritizing videos and sometimes I’d end up not able to excercise. I shifted my priority to exercise. I drop my daughter at school and straighten to exercise. That shifted me from not able to get to the gym and go running to being later on upload times for videos.

Just curious why you change your upload patterns to be so late in the evenings. its rough staying up late when you got to be up at 5:00AM every day of the week for work. LOL. I generally half to watch the reactions the following evening. There’s no “extra” day. Now that we caught up. We don’t record 3x a week. We do 1 day. There’s no extra time the way you see it. We are just resuming a “normal” life. Now when Erza comes home from work. We do whatever we want and spend more time as a family with our child. This was not sustainable unless she quit nursing. I’m also not interested in fillers. Lee, there's this really wholesome anime called "Yakuza's Guide to Babysitting." It's in the 9th episode now and every episode of it so far is very, very wholesome. It's not as popular as any other anime this year so far, but after watching it, it is one of the best that comes out this year. There's always something to warm your heart every episode. And there's funny scenes too. And having daughters myself, Yaeka (the baby girl the yakuza is babysitting) is so cute, and a lot of the scenes spoke to me. I'm sure you'll feel the same since you have a daughter too. Since you guys loved good animes and show, I'd really loved to recommend this anime to you and at the same time introduce this very wholesome anime to anyone who misses it.

The schedule always changes. In the most simple answer if there is only 20 hours to record in a week and i had Game Of Thrones. Something else has to give. Bleach gets 8 episodes a week. And that editor can’t keep up with our pace. So it was most logical to reduce that.

If you read the novels, and have all context it may seem spoilery to you, but for anime onlys, its mostly a parade of characters. With limited context, there is not really anything new in the trailer, apart from the design of some new characters. I have watched tons of rectors react to the trailer and they by and large only deduced that the new season will be eventful, but not what said events would be.

ok so mushoku tensei season 2 trailer has dropped but a warning. its LOADED with spoilers. like TONS of em. i'd say avoid it if you can. but it basically confirmed that it will be books 7-12 which will complete the story arc quite fully.

1st and foremost just let me say thank you very much when I watched you guys on YouTube I enjoyed what you were doing so then I decided to join Patreon and now I'm enjoying myself a 100% more recently I've gotten a raise at work so I decided to subscribe to some other people on Patreon that I was watching on YouTube but after the last month I have to say I'm quite disappointed they only put 1 or 2 things out a week they talk for like a minute or 2 before & after the video unlike you guys who will just talk about the anime you're watching or a different anime or even about things that are going on in your life after having a rough day at work coming home to just sit and relax and laugh and enjoy is a great thing now I know Goblin Slayer is over with for right now and I don't know if you have anything that you're filling that spot with I really don't want to be one of those people that talk about different stuff and then throw in a recommendation at the end but unfortunately I do have a recommendation it is a unique anime I can't really find anyone that's reacting to it Crunchyroll has it it's on its 3rd episode so far I think it's a great anime I give it an 8.5 to a 9 each character unique in their own way the story is quite unique the animation and artwork look great I give it a 9 to a 9.5 It's called Birdie Wing I'm going to leave a link at the bottom for the trailer so if you do decide to watch it and make the decision on your own but once again truly thank you very much for everything you do I am so glad that I am now part of the rock nation https://youtu.be/5uUVPp5bGQQ

Ok, im not sure if this would be good or not for a reaction video, but its first episode was pretty damned interesting. its also a new anime that i have literally never hear of called summertime render. I dont want to spoil it for anyone as i went in blind and was very pleasantly suprised, but give it a watch on your own at least. its amazing! It's my favorite anime of all time, I first watched it on adult swim as a kid and it has stayed my favorite anime of all time. you should give BC pacing another chance. its honestly a million times faster than one piece, and the pacing is on the faster side of the shonen spectrum, imo its too fast sometimes. granted the shows you look like you wanna rewatch are more seinen style, so it could be just a genre preference

It's a good anime to watch but it's not a good anime for reactions in Food Wars had competitions, drama. you had a stake, a goal, etc. It's a good relaxing anime to watch but it doesn't have many elements to make it worth a reaction. It lacks danger, action, you don't have any major stakes, etc....

I'm not one for One Piece (Way too much filler, way too dragged out, its boring, even the action moments are so dragged that the effect is lost). Or Black Clover (Similar but not to the degree of OP reasons). So lately it feels like you guys aren't reacting or releasing material that interest me. I might be a minority in this but I wish you'd react to more interesting anime. Made In Abyss, Black Lagoon, Leleoch's rebellion (sp), anime that tell a story and aren't completely dragged out to hell and back would fit, Because honestly with the pace of OP or BC we all could be dead before they Luffy becomes the Magician King or Asta finds the One Piece.

myanimelist.com is a good place to find some of the older anime already released that are amazing. I feel like there are a ton of other anime that I personally would go to before vanitas. which just came out. This is an assumption but they prolly only wanna cover current running animes that either are too popular not to cover or they personally really wanna watch. So vanitas which is another new vampire anime might not meet those criteria. And hell I'd go seraph of the end, hellsing or blood before that if ya haven't seen em.

Ok i have one that i think if anyone has watched it will agree to. Its called 'the case study of vanitas' its a vampire one but its hilarious, it has amazing fights, it has dark shit in it. In truth it kinda reminds me of vivy in a way, mostly the incredible production and compellign storytelling. i think you guys should give it a shot. its got everythign you need for a good reaction video and i gaurentee you'll enjoy it.
