Her hate for him basically vanished when Rem's memory was eaten. Basically all she saw was someone who knew the cult was coming to their village but did nothing, then came and saved her at the end. She did not care about the village so her feelings developed from respecting him as he took her in and looked after her. Its a very complex relationship for that reason.
