I get Isuzu's embarrassment after talking to Rudy; she kept downplaying her talent as meager or nonexistent when she was thoughtlessly doing something they never can and then claiming it to be nothing special constantly instead of accepting the compliments.

So when Rudy and Izuzu were talking and Rudy was calling her a hero, yes he was trying to cheer her up but as seen throughout the past episodes Izuzu and group have all been struggling with finding out who they are/what they want to do in the future. This is where I think it gets interesting, Rudy never having had the choices and options thinks rightfully so that they aren't bad off but Izuzu and company never experienced the limited life the People of the Land are restricted by. This causes Izuzu to feel even worse since see now sees that she has taken their ability to choose for granted. At least this is how I see/read this scene. Also Kitsune (fox people) in lore are well known in eastern culture to be mischievous and have a natural talent for transforming, (Biggest example I can think of atm is Da Ji.) Idk if it is or not but I always thought of it being a race perk. As people who play MMOs know generally certain races/species all have a special ability.
