2021-09-13 21:44:36 +0000 UTChe actually gave 13 Draupnir rings to the Lich since 10 still wasnt enough lol. initially if they hadnt done anything to increase his magic power or lower Makoto's the Lich wouldve just been absorbed into Makoto's body since he's so much weaker than him it sucks that they omit so many of the details from the novel. It makes some of the details in the anime very confusing since some of the context has been removed

2021-09-13 16:21:57 +0000 UTCThe 10-0 control pact was what it was going to be before makoto suppressed his mana and gave 10 drauphnir (which had fully absorbed his mana over time) to the lich. After all that it went to the 8-2 control pact that matches what he has with Tomoe and Mio It was basically to point out how weak the lich is compared to Tomoe and Mio -though he'll still get a power boost now from being a follower of makoto he's still below them
