commenting after y'all completed the series lol but, the half-male half-female body didn't have any part of carmilla. These are the vampires that were working with St. Germaine. They're building the Rebus, for Dracula to inhabit. The Rebus is what St. Germaine and that Alchemist lady in the Infinite Corridor were talking about.

She believes, honestly, that her rulers are coming back. She needs to believe she saved them and that they, in turn, will save her in order for her to keep going on
