2021-10-14 07:38:29 +0000 UTCThe CGI is CGI. It's not the worst I've seen and it's not the best... though I don't often attach that adjective to CGI to begin with. It almost always looks like crap and I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a project that disproves that point. Maybe I'm just biased. I accept CGI simply because I know the show probably wouldn't exist with out it. That's why I still like Overlord even with its' garbage CGI. Also... just in case I didn't say it enough in this paragraph... CGI. :P

Some of the animation can be kinda bad imo, well more lazy then bad. But overall i think it was a great watch and i really think its a show both of you would really enjoy.

It has many fun moments and an intriguing plotline which is fun to follow along.

2021-09-23 17:17:59 +0000 UTCin the same boat tbh this series was just kinda Luke warm for me :'( Solid 1st episode.. then i just lost interest especially when the main girl joins the mix. Then top it off with the paper stop motion animation 😬. I'm never usually the read the manga type but i somehow managed to get a bit farther in the manga before dropping it. Power fantasy doesn't bother me all that much personally lml was just other issues.

Like others have said, its a pretty trash adaptation, iirc it was due to production and studio drama going on which kinda led to a borked season, but the source material is one of my favorites simply because you can tell how much the author really enjoyed writing it.

2021-09-23 17:02:01 +0000 UTCI've been reading the LN and manga for this series. I personally like it alot. He's more like an anti-hero than your basic isekai protag. The anime art design is pretty bad in some points. Sometimes they show the enemies in CG then in the next scene they are actually drawn. WTF Make up your mind. But overall i've really liked the story. Can't wait until Jan 2022 for second season. P.S. Just call it Arifureta, you don't have to do the whole name. P.P.S. - there is both subbed and dubbed for this series. It's up to you guys which version you want to hear.

I am not saying that you guys couldn't react to this, but this was just how I see the show and stopped at that one spot watching it.
