Damn! Boys HATING on Usopp! Lmao Usopp is probably my favorite Strawhat aside from Luffy. He is the most normal character whose dream is the most out of reach. He is the normal guy among monsters. He wants to be a brave warrior like his father while his nature is to be fearful of these insanely powerful pirates. Also, in regards to Usopp running from robin. You have to remember that when you get turned into a toy, you are forgotten. Usopp literally does not remember he had a crew mate that was turned into a toy. But when he knows he has to do something to protect everyone, even though he is the most scared and weak character in the show. You know it means the most and has the highest stakes when he does gather the courage to fight. When Zoro goes to fight, you don’t fear for him, it isn’t brave, Zoro is one of the most powerful characters. Usopp is probably the weakest. When he fights he is always putting his life on the line. Usopp is greatness.

Buuuuuut he does bring hype moments when he finally decides to fight. He’s a roller coaster of emotions man. I can literally hate and love him in One Episode lol

2021-10-01 12:12:42 +0000 UTCGreat reaction and I 100% agree that while I can understand Usopp not caring for the Tontatta's and the people is a very real thing, this is a perfect example of why I think he meshes the least with the Strawhat's for me. Every other Strawhat would and has actively done what they can to help when they see injustices, whereas Usopp only ever lets fear rule him and wants to run away until backed into a corner with no escape. I would not even be as bothered by it except his only goal is to overcome fear by being brave, yet makes little to no progress unless it is in his ability to get the Strawhats in more trouble by his constant lies. I get a lot of people like him and after watching the series a few times, I was able to find some redeeming qualities from him, but like Chopper said, "(Usopp) is too pitiful"
