Also, both of your points are very valid: his daughter must be his #1 priority, but also, keep in mind that this Squid Game traumatized him and made him suffer a lot. Yes, he earned that money but that doesn’t stop the remorse he has. And what if Gun-Ho (the cop) is alive? I didn’t see the body after he got shot. For all we know, he may be alive. What if Gi-Hun teams up with him?

It is pretty clear that he wants to stop the games and ofc we dont know how or if he does. But imagine having a daughter and THAT not being your purpose in life lol. Gi could just donate, or make a whole ass non profit company to help people and still be with his daughter.

2021-10-04 23:21:45 +0000 UTCMy theory is that gihun is gonna go back to be a red player and try and find out what’s going on and how they’re making the games and try stop it all because first ep when he was playing flip the paper card with the man he had a choice to pick blue or red , gihun picked blue and he ended up becoming a player wearing the blueish outfits but if gihun picked red he may have become one of the red players , because if you think about it all the red suit people also had numbers on them just like the players and if they break the rules they also die . So I believe that gihun is gonna go back and be a red player . So there might be a season 2 cause it kinda did end on a cliffhanger 🤷🏻♀️( and maybe that’s why he dyed is hair red? ) I’m not so positive on my theory but I’ll get it out there

There are just too many coincidences with them for it to not mean something

2021-10-04 05:11:12 +0000 UTCI understand you guys not agreeing with his decision to turn around and not go and see his daughter, but hear me out. His daughter is safe and secure, she'll always be there for him to see eventually. These people that the game are preying on though, they're still being actively recruited. For him, and I'm just assuming his motives, he wants to try and take down the game and stop it permanently. Even if they are monitoring him, even if they try and cut off his money, you have to assume he has a stockpile of cash somewhere, especially since we saw him give a full suitcase of it to Sang-Woo's mom. He has a purpose now, something to do with his new fortune, take down the ones that gave it to him. IMO he dealt with the pressing issues like getting Sae-Byeok's brother a new home, as well as paying off Sang-Woo's debts so the bank didn't come for his mom's house and business. Like I said earlier, his daughter is well off in America with her step dad and his new job. His immediate mission now is saving as many people as possible from the Squid Game.

Then the show: Signal. I’ll keep y’all posted if I see another great Korean show coming up. There’s also a good but not great show called Extracurricular.
