Because Aoi Yuuki, That's why. But Mikaela Krantz did awesome too. I love them both. I love finding anime that actually have decent dubs so I can be lazy and not have to read. lmfao!

The "immortality" he wants is as far away from "staying in this old shitty body forever" as you can get. Unholy ascension, or simply willingly turning yourself into a Lich is common-ish thing in D&D-ish storys 2. He is accualy one of the most tragic characters in entire Overlord story. Long story short-ish when he was a kid his mother died, it could be prevented easily if he was home, like she asked him, but he was playing with other kids till evening, and when came back home found only a still warm corpse on the floor. From that day he dedicated himself to study holy magic to one day bring her back, but reaching 6th tier (absolute minimum required for even a chance of resurection to work) was impossible with the time he had left, aaand thats why he went "to the dark side", with simple logic "if it is possible, but I don't have enough time, make time infinity by turning into undead, problem solved...aslo turning into Lich is incedible powerboost for almost anyone"
