Certainly, and is how I do and do something quirky with the audio. But, there are some issues with that method, too. One of which, is you have to do some odd things to get the images to pickup if you play it on crunchy, for instance.

So you can just capture your cam and the anime at the same time so you dont need to sync them both while editing, but maybe you do it that way to adjust audios or something.
