Ideally because I like the show I was just watching it on my own time and not pick up recording time because that’s what it comes down to serve what you guys are interested in. But then I run out on my personal time because I’m always working on content or something

Most of the time OVAs are just canon bonus episodes that were released with the blu rays or aired outside the standard 12/24 weekly episode cour seasons. Those who say episode 25 isn't canon are mostly VN purists who think anything that wasn't in the VN/LN/Manga source material isn't canon to the entire series. When people say Steins Gate is the greatest story of all time, they're talking about the main series (episode 1-25) the movie (sequel continuation from 25) is sort of a forced shoehorn continuation that's pretty skippable, and 0 is a canon sidestory serving as the backstory of future video Okabe, but the quality is a step down from the masterpiece of the main series. So if you are satisfied with quality over quantity, you should watch 1-25, and maybe eventually 0, if you want quantity over quality, then definitely watch 0 and the movie. Skipping episode 25 is like watching Star Wars and stopping right after the Emperor dies. Like sure there is no more fighting and lightsaber fights but you're still missing the big story closure that you've been watching the entire series to get to.

I loved your reactions and it made me watch Zero (which btw completes the story even more, I've never seen plot done that way before, like holy cow). I really enjoyed watching the series with you. It was awesome that it showed why time travel could be so attractive to people, but then it switched it up on you and showed just how complex and destructive it actually is. Just like Kurisu said in one episode, changing the past is not an option cos you became the person you are today soley because of the choices you made and experiences you experienced from those choices.

I believe that it’s more typical in Japan, but I’m no expert. A lot of their nicknames come from the combination of the last and first name. Hououin Kyouma is based on a mad scientist character Okabe saw on a TV show him and Mayuri had watched together.

The OVA is only 24 mins like an episode length. If you see the preview at the end where Director said "They went to the US", that was for episode 25 (OVA)
