The wanted poster doesn't say about it but the Oharan "Devils" are painted publicly as people who tried to destroy the world with the Ponegliffs and their destruction was used as an example to everyone else of the consequences. It's how Crocodile knew who she was and wanted to have her decipher Arabasta's stone. It's known law that the stones are off limits so it's not really a big secret who she is.

But the way it went was that SH's saved the minks and then the minks told the story, and then kept saying "how could we turn over someone who is not here" to people that have nok asked about it.

2021-12-12 09:58:43 +0000 UTCI believe it was either Inuarashi or Nekomamushi that said that holding of the beast pirates and the reinforcement was no trouble, and that the only enemy that was a problem was Jack. That means that If Inuarashi and Nekomamushi collaborated in taking down Jack, while the Musketeers and the Guardians was swapping fighting the beast pirates and reinforcement. That they could have taken down Jack, confined him etc.. The argument of the poison gas depends on If they would use it while Jack was not in his hazmat suit, did they have the antidote at hand etc... Would it be possible would give that a 13 % chance of success since I believe that Jack is stronger then Inuarashi and Nekomamushi, at that point! It is always funny to watch One Piece up again, all those little details, you miss.

2021-12-11 06:19:43 +0000 UTC@naked hairy potato I was one of the few people who had strongly suggested for him to add One Piece to his list of anime back when he had requests tier list based on donations or pledges. Not sure if he still does that. This was back in like 2018 before he had finally reacted to all the One Piece openings at the time. Just hearing AJ Rich takes me back to when he only used to stream games. I noticed he’s been slowly grinding away at One Piece. He’ll get there one day lol

2021-12-11 02:46:20 +0000 UTCI know that the Minks refer to humans (possibly mermaids and fishmen too?) as Lesser Minks due to the fact that they have less fur (hair) on their bodies, but I wonder if there isn't some deeper meaning to that "Lesser" moniker. I mean that this entire country, even the women, children and elderly, they put their lives on the line to protect someone who wasn't one of them just because they considered him a friend. Even when they were rendered unable to fight and were potentially facing extinction, even then they wouldn't give him up even to save their loved ones, and they even chained Raizo up to prevent him from sacrificing himself for them. That kind of behavior is practically unheard of, in the One Piece world or this one. So maybe the "Lesser" in Lesser Mink refers less to the lesser coverage area of fur (hair) and more to how our hearts are (for the most part) not as strong as theirs, how our wills are more easily broken? Maybe if we could all be like the Minks, and like Monkey D Luffy, maybe the world wouldn't be such a messed up place.

2021-12-11 01:22:04 +0000 UTCPlus there always the chance that it could have been another trick, playing the role of the savior in order to get the Minks to lower their guard and reveal the location of Raizo. It's literally the carrot and the stick, with Jack being the stick, or it could also be compared to Good Cop (Straw Hats) and Bad Cop (Jack). Without concrete proof that Luffy and his crew were affiliated with the samurai the Minks were risking their lives to protect there was no way that the Minks were going to trust that info to them. Even if the Straw Hats weren't affiliated with Jack or Kaido (which of course they aren't, but playing the Devil's Advocate here) there was still the chance that the info could have gotten leaked to Jack somehow, which would have brought him back there to finish what he started. Regardless of whether you're speaking to your enemy, your savior or someone who's not affiliated with either, loose lips still sink ships.

The person that's named as Momo's father is Oden, which happens to be the name of a type of Japanese hot pot (stew). The differences in spelling become even more pronouncedly different in Japan to the point where they can't even be mistaken for the same word, it's us English speakers over here that seem to really struggle with it.

But it’s common in military strategy to attack the smaller group and precent them from assembling to 100% of the man power. The reason is it’s generally easier to fight a smaller army removing technology from play.

And they would probably be so worn out that they would be overran by the sheer numbers of Beast Pirate reinforcements. Yonkos and their crews don't just give up after a commander goes down. Look at Marineford.

2021-12-10 22:22:25 +0000 UTCI would agree with you rocklee if the durability of fighters at this time in one piece is more than insane, jack was there fighting everyday whilst everyone else needed rest, however yes if they WANTED to work together of course they'd have a better chance of winning. But yh as you see, if they came close to winning Jack always had an ace up his sleave, most of this was an interrogation on Jacks part not a slaughter, you're seeing it as a fight to the death but both sides are fighting a war of attrition, one side wants the other to leave and the other wants information from them even though they know at any moment they could win

Remember that the Beast Pirates kept getting more reinforcements to replace every person that was defeated. The minks being able to rest and recover is why they came close to winning if it wasn't for Jack.

Not that I'm not impressed by it, and the scene was very moving :) but afterwards I got a bit irritated thinking back to when Wanda was crying while telling them "how could we turn over someone who is not here" to the people saving them. There was really no reason to say that part so many times to the straw hats when it had nothing to do with them.
