2021-12-12 06:36:32 +0000 UTCEh, I agree for the most part, but not with Samurai/Asami. She barely speaks and only in the most basic Japanese. I'd say most anime fans know more Japanese vocabulary than she uses. I'm Asian myself and while I wasn't "offended" by anything, it still felt super weird since everyone else gets a lot more character development/plot significance. The episode would have been 99.9% the same without her. I appreciate the updates, but her entire character is incredibly shallow and isn't needed for anything the show is doing.

Also what Nightwing and those people at Star Labs didn't realize was that Virgil and the others were feeling like prisoners and they were being a little too strict on them, that's why they ran away from there in the first place and are now in the hands of Lex Luthor. By the way Maurice is Ty's mom's BOYFRIEND not stepdad!

2021-12-12 03:28:24 +0000 UTCThis is honestly one of the coolest things Young Justice did: It took the racial stereotype DC characters from the 'Super Friends' days -- Apache Chief, El Dorado, Samurai, and Black Vulcan (swapped out for Static, here) -- and updated them into actual three-dimensional characters that are respectful of the cultures / heritages.
