Basically, it's a debated subject about why the show got cancelled but one of the "theories" is that the show was cancelled because it did not reach it's target audience which was young men and instead received a larger viewership of young women instead. Apparently Mattel pulled funding because there weren't enough toy sales (because the company believed young men would buy more), but Greg Weisman has since denied the latter but the show was brought back due to fan support and high viewership via Netflix so it's probably just a rumor. Long story short, the show was cancelled and then brought back under different funding, so that's why there is a DCU intro on the episodes after season 2.

2023-04-08 02:48:31 +0000 UTCSo one of the major reasons the show was cancelled on cartoon network was because the viewership ratings were showing that young girls enjoyed the show too much and so it got replaced by teen titans go. Biggest disappointment I've ever felt towards cartoon network. That's why there is a theme and art style change.

I saw in the comments that this season will be darker, but it sounds good to me. It would be funny if Artemis formed a couple with Arsenal 😂🤣🏹, then both sisters would be dating the same person (Almost, I know the two aren't the same person, even though Red Arrow is Arsenal's clone)

Season 2 ended on Mar 16 2013 & Season 3 started on Jan 4 2019 so it was canceled for almost 6 years. Director is right season 3 was made by Dc's now canceled streaming service dc universe. Then everything Dc including this show was picked up by hbo max.

My only issue with it is scenes that feel pretty clear they didn’t have a good enough budget, and we get a little lost in the middle in terms of bloat

2021-12-21 02:48:05 +0000 UTCPersonally loved this season’s first 8 or so eps and think it just lost a little momentum but it pays off with an amazing ending, I don’t really rank the seasons but I wouldn’t say this is in any way inferior to the past seasons. It does have my maybe least favorite episode but even my least favorite ep I wouldn’t call bad.
