(uncut) The Witcher S1 ep 3
Added 2021-12-20 01:57:33 +0000 UTC....It's worth making it till 1 hr 26 minutes and watching this struggle, I ran low on time because this show is LONG and Adorkablenerd came through... SPOILER FOR EPISODE...READ AFTER the episode lol
I knew it was gonna go back and forth through time, but I won't introduce points where people "spoil" the information and I'll allow my co reactors to pick up naturally and let the authentic shock come in and share the excitement....on EP 3...it became so painfully obvious lol, that it needed to be addressed so Director is at 100% in understanding the story...lol

I think it’ beautiful how they had the 2 timelines happen and the hints we got all along. When I watched and realized, it put everything into perspective! It made the watching experience even better.

2023-02-25 01:09:00 +0000 UTC3 weeks later; I honestly felt it was intentional to be subtle, having re-watched many a-times and having realized the time stuff in ep 1-2, I feel like it was actually a great way to connect the timelines towards the end, since yes, it's very easy to say "x time" or "week's/years ago/before x event" but would've that improved the show? I'd say no. And I did watch it with my parents and they were hella confused until later episodes which seems to be the normal. If they did indeed mean to make it obvious then they failed xD otherwise it's fine. I wouldn't call it a spoiler to say about the timelines per-say but it might ruin the surprise however.

2021-12-22 06:50:31 +0000 UTCAbout the timeline part, there is a reason so many commented about the timelines in episode 1 reaction. The scriptwriters and the directors failed to provide enough cues through visuals and dialogue when an event was happening in relation to the other events. It can be spoilery, and it should be respected going forward Lee doesn’t want that kind of info, but commenters were just clarifying facts. Viewers were supposed to catch: Episode 1: Renfri sayin Queen Calanthes won her first war, Episode 2: Stregobor no longer being in hiding and with the brotherhood, Episode 3: King Foltes as a child and old man. So it doesn’t spoil the story as it literally makes no difference to the story as the show writer fully intended for audience to know about the different timelines in episode 1. They just did a shitty job showing things were on different timelines. Even as smart as Lee and Director are, it took a while for Director to understand- even though Lee was explaining it.

2021-12-20 23:46:27 +0000 UTCWell, the episode did reveal it. Lol. I waited 3 episodes for the painfully obvious moment. I than go “oh maybe Yennifer taught the curse and he’s like no it can’t be, she just learned magic”. ……. Bro they showed her learning magic when this current king was small. He even acknowledged them in the room as small kids matching the portrait. But he thought i was crazy for the statement. We had to be at equals footing to understand the show together and talk on the same level I Also didn’t wanna lose my authenticity so i let everyone know that I’m tainted. But again I felt the scenes was obvious and pretending i don’t know has it’s own problems when I potentially think I already know this

2021-12-20 21:09:01 +0000 UTCYes. Season 2 isn’t on YouTube yet at all. No need to rush that at the moment
Rock Lee
2021-12-20 20:59:24 +0000 UTCWe record Wednesdays and Sundays. The episodes are long and we are “rushing” so. I don’t have a schedule 🤷🏽♂️. Lol. We do what we can
Rock Lee
2021-12-20 20:58:13 +0000 UTCHonestly that why I had a small problem with why lee revealed it. I know you could figure it out with the small clues it gave but most people including myself didn’t figure it out until the big reveal of it. It’s always best to let the show reveal it but like I said I understand and it’s not the big of a deal.

2021-12-20 19:54:43 +0000 UTCUsually the point of not clarifying two different time periods are being shown is to have a twist later on, to leave people guessing. A very popular TV series used this and it would be a massive spoiler to know it was a story being told at two different times before it was revealed.

2021-12-20 19:51:11 +0000 UTCWhat day do you upload this out of curiosity. I just finish season 2 and can’t wait for you guys to catch up.
Sonicluis
2021-12-20 19:37:03 +0000 UTCso season 1 is a bit of a mess story wise, but season 2 is legit good. so its the perfect time to pick this up. all i gotta say about this episode is what i did initially. 'jesus christ yen!?!!!?!?!?!' and for director, yes yen was making those people. yennifer is a bit of a freak. you guys should play the witcher 3. not as a stream as it takes a million hours, but its such and amazing game. probably the best rpg i've played. there is so much depth to the characters and story that you get lost. heart of stone is amazing and blood and wine is the perfect end to geralts story. both dlc. one thing i'll say that i've learned is that yennifer is a bitch, but shes also a badass. she does what has to be done. full respect.

2021-12-20 18:53:42 +0000 UTCIs there form this week only one orvelord or will it gonna be 2 ep on Tue every week cause in schedule it showing overlord only on tuesday

2021-12-20 18:31:55 +0000 UTCNope
Rock Lee
2021-12-20 17:39:57 +0000 UTCThe first and second game would be to old for anyone who hasnt played them in the past. They are really good lore wise, but the gameplay didnt age well. But TW3 is amazing. If you like RPGs like Skyrim, you will like the Witcher 3 too. But be aware that the Witcher 3 plays in 1572 and the show in season one is around 1562-66(i dont know Ciris age right now, with that i could give you an accurate year). Meaning you could get "spoiled" from the game

2021-12-20 14:49:46 +0000 UTCI see it more as both girls were reborn, Yennefer born with new appearance and Striga finally turned to human.

2021-12-20 13:39:45 +0000 UTCHave to say I really liked the end talk when you both so confused :D

2021-12-20 13:38:49 +0000 UTCI’ve never played any of the games, are they good.
Sonicluis
2021-12-20 13:08:48 +0000 UTCI think it might be 3 actually, based on the bits & bobs of the background convo (3 main characters, Geralt, Yen & Ciri based on the footage switches at certain intervals)
Skebaba
2021-12-20 10:40:32 +0000 UTCYea I have no idea why some people are spoiler nazis, even when it comes to something the series suck ass at properly portraying (could have just done a "Date XYZ" annotation like movies & normie shit like that do to solve such a irrelevant problem to begin with)
Skebaba
2021-12-20 09:51:57 +0000 UTCI think the parralels are, while in Gertals scene a monster was cured, in Yennefers case one is made?
Kevin
2021-12-20 08:15:39 +0000 UTCOut of interest, any of you guys played the games? (noted they're very long). If not then all the better as they're set well after the Netflix series
FSD
2021-12-20 07:50:18 +0000 UTCYou missed the show version of "how to lift a curse from Striga aka. princess". And it basicly was keep her out of crypt untill the rooster crows 3 times. Funny thing how 3 versions of this story are the same, but different. In game (and IIRC in book too) it was litteraly it, just like with st. Peter. That rooster needs to crow 3 times, and then it's done, and show just went with "screw it, fight untill it's daytime, it's basicly the same anyway"

2021-12-20 07:39:26 +0000 UTCI don't think in this cases there was malicious intent I have seem other reactions where people hate the show because they could never understand the different time lines or took way after episode 4 to get it & them they deem the show a bad one, so I believe people were afraid this might had being another situation like that.
Edgardo Concepcion
2021-12-20 05:59:19 +0000 UTCYeah that sucks, so many people just can't keep their mouths shut in comments. Just let them watch, in this season there is a point if they still not understanding people can point out the time skipping. Oh well, in a sense it might be just better you understand it already YBRL =)

2021-12-20 04:18:19 +0000 UTCYou missed the part where Geralt (The Witcher) explained how to remove the curse. You have to keep the striga out of her crypt until the rooster crows three times, Gerald had to fight her until dawn. I didn't watch the show, I didn't play the games, but it seemed obvious to me in this episode 3 that it was two different times, it reminded me of the anime (So I'm a Spider, So What?) It was funny to see how long it took D.Nasty to understand what you were telling him.😂🤣
