2021-12-21 21:50:35 +0000 UTCI think you can use magic without a grimoire anyways. The grimoire gives you the power to cast specific spells. If I'm not mistaken, some random envious guys attacked Yuno right after he got his grimoire (ep 1 or 2) and they were gagging over that fact that Yuno didn't even use his grimoire to defeat them. Also Noelle was remarkable in the beginning of the series for releasing large amounts of magic, even though she didn't have any spells in her grimoire. The fact that Licht fought at such a high level without the magic of a grimoire also shows how extremely OP he actually is.

But you can use magic as a child without grimoire.
