Deglan did what he thought was necessary to protect his species (witcher), people were already killing elves and other species so Deglan tried to keep his species alive, obviously what he did is not moral or correct but let's be serious humanity he did worse things. Geralt was smart, he had an escape plan, he was a survivor. That group of children survived only because he knew a way to escape the castle.

Vessimir punched through the ice and torched it. The witch was in on it and she tried to freeze the basilisk to keep it alive but the witcher killed it.

They will find someone else to point their blade at. As they also said they had already wared with the Elves and the dwarfs. Now the withers and who's next after that? And when they can't take on the more powerful they fight each other. There is no real race comradery as there are with many other races in this world. :S

It's almost 100% Netflix oryginal...so they can write a decent story when they want to, they just fuck up massivly when they try adding their og plotlanes to one of the best written books of the century.
