Sanji sacrificed himself for his crewmates a lot of times in the series, maybe because he grow up hearing he was useless and nothing compared to other people. It's amazing how he grew up being so king having an upbringing like this

They only have two Strawhats on the Island. All allies gone. Luffy out of Haki running from his opponent. So I started thinking Nami may be able to pull of something unexpected. Though folks would laugh. Turns out. She plays a major role with her rain. It was never a matter of me thinking Nami is stronger than cracker. It was a matter of Nami being the only option. But Oda found a reasonable way to pull it off. It’s gonna happen often where folks go. “You don’t understand…this is a Yonko…..”. Lol. I understand. From a logical perspective yet like … i dunno what can happen. Lol. That simple. Than folks will explain “you gotta under Understand Oda. He would never yada yada yadda”. I’m in the zone man. I dunno lol 😂😂

Cracker is a Yonko commander so he's quite a big deal, It's just his introduction is kinda lame, not to mention many people missed his bounty reveal. Here is some power level context when it comes to fighting in New World without further spoiler: Doffy (arguably) = low Yonko commander level (Cracker, Ace, ?Jack, Diamond Joju) < First Yonko commander level (Marco) < Admiral < Yonko.

Theoretically, if Nami could land one solid enough hit on him, then we could have one of the weakest Strawhats defeat one of the strongest members of a Yonko's crew. Probably the main reason Oda didn't include God Usopp in this arc is cause he definitely would've defeated Cracker 🤥

Though those overpowered but weak characters (that ussop often handles) are normally not physically powerful but some other form. Oda does plus it together beautifully and your line of reasoning at the time wasn’t wholly wrong as you’ve seen later down the line.

I don't necessarily hold it against them using dishonest methods to win, they are after all criminals, but they do these things to give Sanji a handicap and act like they beat him straight up. They honestly piss me off way more than the Big Mom pirates. They are big fish in a small pond who act like they are apex predators when they are food for those stronger than them.
