I like the parallel Oda did here. When he was a kid, Sanji tried to cook for his mom but he dropped it in the rain and it got roughed up by a dog. Despite how messed up it was his mom still ate it with a smile. Now the same happened with Luffy, someone who didn't see him as a failure. Beautiful.

Episode 852 you should watch from the beginning so as to not miss anything, 879, 893 and 897 you should watch from just after the opening credits for the same reason (even though the latter two seem to start with a recap watch it anyways as new story footage will be added to the end.) On a mildly related topic, 895 and 896 are the first fully 100% filler episodes in a long while (which means you can skip them until you're caught up with us). By contrast, while 907 is also filler, it is like an unaired pilot episode for the series: a proof-of-concept storyboard that Oda took the time to animate for One Piece's anniversary. For that reason I think that you should make an exception and watch 907 as part of your regular reactions as it's essentially a tale of what One Piece could have been like.

2022-01-26 12:03:38 +0000 UTCWell you won't have to worry about it again for a while, until episode 852 to be precise, where like episode 827 the episode will once again begin before the opening credits. There won't even be any recap, just a slight overlap with the action from the previous episode before it proceeds into new footage, with the episode title showing itself after the opening credits. After that, the next episode you'll need to,take care with is 879. While there's nothing before the opening credits, you'll still want to watch the part that precedes the episode title. I'm not sure just how big a buffer you maintain, but I'll try to keep you abreast of when you may need to deviate from your standard practice of skipping clear past the episode title.

2022-01-25 19:51:50 +0000 UTCYou should know that the beginning of episode 825 contains the fight between Luffy and Big Mom's enforcer you didn't really see in the previous episode because so much of that episode was focused on Sanji and his search for Luffy, including how the fight ended. So by skipping forward to the episode title you skipped a lot.
