I see that in most cases where the spouse cheat is because the other half is too boring (an excuse, just because the cheating spouse ain't too in love with the boring half). So if Maou really does falls in love hard with Chiho, then he'll not feel that she's boring. But from my perspective (since I'm from the view of not in love with her, duh), I'll be bored with such a girl in the long-term.

But as the series goes on, I see her changing that bitchiness into more tsundere towards Maou than being a pure bitch. Like the way she's saying he owes her for helping out at the stall is more tsundere than bitchy to me. I see that there's more chemistry between her and Maou than Chiho and Maou. Yes, Chiho is nice, obedient and supportive. Not to mention her "plot." But that all there is to it. In the long term, she'll be too boring to me, as she agrees to everything I say and do. It's not she doesn't have her opinions, but she'll be too agreeable to me and makes everyday life seems boring. In comparison, Emi will disagree to some things I'd suggests and even have her suggestions to what she wants to do. At least that's going to make things more exciting and I don't have to make decisions all-the-time.

When he 1st hugged Emi when he said he owns (dominate) her and she’s just letting him hugged without her usual tsundere act. And the 2nd time when he said he’s going to “dominate” her and she blushed with her tsundere reactions. I still feel Maou and Emi is better together because they can fight together and not having each other to worry for their safety. And they actually have things to talk about or argues about. Sometimes a little argument now and then makes a relationship more interesting. Whereas Chiho needs constant safeguarding and it’s difficult for Maou to fight without delegating someone to protect her. And although Chiho supports Maou in everything, for a long term relationship, it’s more like unconditional one-sided love. It’s going to be tiring for one or both of them.
