People are explaining because the anime went so nuts with this episode that a lot of anime-onlys didn't understand what really happened here. This was maybe the one time where majority of OP community agreed they did too much with the animation - personally I'd rather they do too much than deal with Dressrosa-tier animation again lol so I'm beyond happy with it Haven't watched the reaction yet but ye no big deal if you didn't understand it but if you did then well done :D

However each of them could technically have all three which Luffy (and I think Zoro) do. (Chakra analogy is a good one for sure)

So i thought any time he used Haki it was always the conqueror type but that doesn’t mean people always start collapsing around him lol. I believe Lee was under the false impression that conquers was already being used in attacks when it hasn’t really and this is the first actual known application of conquers to augment an attack. (Clearly many character have used it in the past we simply didn’t know). It’s stated flat out in the episode that conquers is being used which is probably why Lee found it insulting that you’d suggest he didn’t notice it. If it was “underwhelming” to you I think it’s completely because of the reasons I previously explained Lee saw it but didn’t see it as anything new in his eyes. (Just my personal impression I could be wrong idk 🤷♂️)

It's unnecessary complicated and the whole thing is either inconsistent (not always the same visual effect for haki) or makes not too much sense (Luffy not always using Ryuo when attacking Kaido).

2022-09-17 19:14:50 +0000 UTCI see a lot of people be A-holes in these comments so ill point it out, the fact that you can infuse yourself with conquerors (color of the supreme king) is COMPLETELY new information, i get the feeling that you always thought that was possible (probably from fights where weve seen all the black lightning shooting off like Doffy and don chinjao but that was just two conquerors asserting their will during a fight not actually internally applying it to their attacks) Luffys training with Ryou was to learn how to force armament haki into the recipient of an attack, and this advanced conquerors is basically the same thing but with a different power source than Armament

But now we see why that power is feared amongst the strongest. When luffy used it unconsciously at marineford, we saw the admirals become worried. But why would they worry when all kings haki does is knock out weaklings only. But now we know why that kings haki is feared due to the ability to being able to coat yourself with it. Conquerors haki is rare ! But being able to cost yourself with it is even rarer and only an ability for the strongest of the strong !! Zoro used is unconsciously when he used ashura and kaido noticed.

Luffy learns Ryuo, which somehow allows him to hurt the enemy from the inside or something, which also is supposed to be advanced armament haki, but at the same time Ryuo is just the Wano specific term for haki? And now you can use conquerors haki to coat your fist like armament haki, but do you need to know advanced armament haki for that? And then neither in the manga nor the anime is always the same effect used for all that stuff. There are clashes with black lightning without conqueror's and that Ryuo glow is not always there even if you can assume Luffy using it against Kaido. All pretty messy if you ask me.

2022-09-17 05:32:39 +0000 UTCRock, Luffy and most others in wano use aramament haki to power their ryou, what luffy noticed about kaido was that he was using CONQUERORS/KINGS haki to coat his club instead, but realising this was even possible luffy begins to utilise his conquerors haki alongside his newly learned ryou, which is why it surprised kaido, and the hits are now not colliding (two conqueror haki coating users clashing), eg. Roger and whitebeard. Hope you read this. Up till this point conquerors is mainly used just for the 1 hit KO of fodder- However people always theorised it could be more considering even powerful people are scared of what it can turn into in the future (see peoples reactons in the war, once they realise luffy can't control it they calm down). Also, the scene shanks enters whitebeards ship and uses Haki, it clearly shows its able to damage the ship

There's just much you can do to someone who has been infused with Conqueror Haki if his haki has not matured.
