So many teams and everyone having the same amount of break time, it's impossible to listen in on everyone and reply back immediately after each and everyone who had an aspirations. But he always answers them immediately after they had a certain revelation. That means he is watching them very closely.

2022-10-23 12:37:06 +0000 UTCThis is my speculation, not a manga reader, but 3 episodes in, I think this is the Team where Ego was “Training” personally. There are 25 teams and everyone is on competition at the same time and he has time to listen in to everything that was discussed in Team Z? The last of the group team? And the word he kept using on them, “Diamond in the making” sounds like he had already picked them out to be “diamond in the making.” He is now molding them into Diamond. He knew they have potential, even the 1st guy who gets eliminated had potential, but he needs to weed out the weak ones, and the 1st guy shows that he was not the chosen one. If more of them gets eliminated in this team, so be it, because he has other people in other teams who has potential to join the “best” team he rooted for. But these are the ones that he personally sees to it to make sure they comes out on top, IF they can learn the lesson he is teaching.

2022-10-23 04:24:37 +0000 UTCI think the problem when isagi passed the ball to kunigami was that he practically gave him the pass of being the chosen one to go to the next round if team z is eliminated. it practically reduced his chance of being the chosen one in the case of let team z lose. It was a good move but at the same time it complicated his situation.
