danmachi and overlord have been pretty consistent quality wise through 4 seasons. of the normal length anime out there, those two are at the top.

That fight show case how desperate he is to win, to show off to Aiz that he doesn't need her saving anymore. Only when we watched how he struggled to keep up since ep 1 up till that point, do we understand how that fight means to him. Lili and his life were at danger, his reputation as an adventurer was at stake, and his identity as Bell Cranel is in jeopardy of getting ridicule by Bete again. So I have to agree that this season is underrated. Because this season easily the best Danmachi season so far.

I actually watched Sword Oratoria first and then realized it was in the same world as Danmachi. So, I decided to check it out. I now have bought all of the light novels and it is one of my favorite reads.

2022-11-12 02:28:20 +0000 UTCDanmachi is one of those shows that is Extremely underrated despite being extremely popular, because most people pass it off as a typical harem show with a loser protag being OP for no reason and getting every girl around him for no reason and act like that’s all it has going for it Meanwhile in my opinion Danmachi has everything: Well written characters, Deserved relationships, extremely good fights (not in terms of animation but in terms of choreography, although the animation is still Good), worldbuilding, good music and a surprisingly deep and well written plot Take Bell for example, he’s genuinely just a good person who tries his best and fails just like any of us. Every single fight Bell has been in just feels right; He loses a bunch which makes sense given his lack of experience and Naïveté and when he does he trains and gets stronger, and even this feels right. Look at his fight against the Minotaur in both season 1 and 3, in the first season through pure pride and will to protect Lili he keeps getting back up and doesn’t just get stronger, he fights smart, avoiding taking hits and carefully aiming for the minotaurs weak spots and stripping the Minotaur of his weapons eventually forcing the Minotaur into a blind charge that seals him the win. Bell is also a severely flawed character, as season 3 makes her prevalent. Mainly through Ais’ interactions with Bell and the Hypocrite speech by Dix Perdix - Bells Naïveté and hero complex can get in his way a lot and it’s something that makes sense, life isn’t just gonna go the way you want, sometimes you’re going to have to bend your morals, especially in an environment as cruel as the dungeon and I’m really looking forward to seeing if Bell will be forced to break his no killing stance in the next season as well as how he’ll survive in such a harsh environment I don’t wanna make this a whole essay but I think I’ve made it clear I think this show deserves more respect as a genuinely well written show Edit: let me make it clear I wouldn’t say Danmachi is a 10/10 perfect show, in fact I don’t think a single aspect of it is a 10/10 but I would say every aspect is a solid 7-8/10 which a lot of series can’t say, as most have to focus on a few areas
