They are cheering because Faputa showed up. Faputa is their "princess" and they see her as the embodiment of value. If you pay close attention when Reg tells the one hollow with the octopus design that talks in a normal language with riko to take the piece of Faputa and find a safe area she looks at it as if it was treasure because that piece of faputa is technically a piece of the princess who is seen as value itself. They have value as their entire system so faputa being the embodiment of value means they see her as a type of deity or something such as that.

So since it's been 150 years since they came to 6th floor, and Orth was founded 1950 years ago (we learn this from 1 or so additional lines from the 1st or 2nd recap movies of 1st season, which you skipped, so I'm adding this note here since there's no point in watching recap for 1 or 2 extra new lines at the start or w/e), we now have a rough time dilation calculation base. IIRC someone did the math based on these data points, and it turns out that Lyza has only been on her Last Dive for like 13 months or w/e from her POV, even if it's been like 10 years or w/e on the surface time wise. So doubt that someone of Lyza's skill level would die in mere 13 months, especially since the Ganja dudes survived for months before converting a loli into this tower city thingie, and they knew shit about the Abyss at the time due to lack of centuries of research on various things inside it
