Also he was just spending time in jail he wasn't facing death. He felt emasculated because he could have dealt with it like a ‘proper peaky would’, without being saved by his mom.

2022-11-30 01:52:46 +0000 UTCFor me the Michael comment was to show how he lost some respect for aunt Polly when he’s expecting and waiting for Thomas to get him out so instead of trusting Thomas aunt Polly does what I think in Michael’s mind is degrading herself for him when it could have been a good possibility Thomas would have got him out later. Polly even said when he was getting arrested is don’t worry Tommy will get you out.
