Jeans With Meg

One of my favorite things about this new series is the simplicity of it. It boils down to a beautiful lady, her favorite pair of jeans, an apple box and that is about it. The fun part for me is I do not strictly direct the model. I tell them to do what they please and pose how they want. It provides an entire different element to the look. The scene and tones will be the same, but the posing will be straight from the models mind. True beauty.

These shoots only last maybe about ten to fifteen minutes. It is just a matter of getting some solid and key shots, that is it. As far as lighting, it is all natural. This series is shot at around 10:45A.M. I have tracked the light since the time change and it is where the sun and my windows provide me the best light. Because of my south facing windows, the light is perfectly diffused so there are no blow outs or hot spots in the images and I am still able to shoot the series at an ISO 100. There is nothing more that I could ask for from the light. The only modifications to the natural light is a V flat camera left to the model to bounce back some of that brilliant light. I am enthralled with this new series, I hope you are too.

Meg used to be a ballerina for years and one of the things that stand out most to me about her posing for this series is her feet, the awareness and point to her toes is nearly flawless and adds so much more depth to her posing. Enjoy!
