HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT: An early Christmas gift! – Don’t skip – MORE CHAPTERS FOR EVERYONE!!!

Ahem. Now that I’ve got your attention :D

To spare everyone the long-winded intro, I wanted to give you guys better value for supporting me on Patreon, so I’ve been writing all day long, everyday of the week over the past month, to expand the Patreon backlog for everyone (at no additional cost). Here’s a list of the changes to each tier (including the free tier):

Free: 1 -> 2

Red-born: 8 -> 12

Orange-born: 20 -> 30

Yellow-born: 40 -> 60

And one more thing. This is the part where I ask you guys for a huge favour. Now that we’re no longer on Rising Stars and we’re slowly slipping off Popular This Week too, it’s much harder to get new eyes on the story. We’re not that high on Best Rated either – we’re like #450 or something.

Us authors on RoyalRoad rely heavily on these lists to get exposure and, unfortunately, there are only so many spots, which means most people can’t easily get on them.

Luckily, however, there are a few ways you guys can help me!

1.     Follow, Favourite and Rate on RoyalRoad (HERE!): Like I said, ratings in particular can help me slowly climb the Best Rated list so that I can more easily pop up in searches. Unfortunately, the majority of people who read a story don’t rate, and people who dislike a book are usually more likely to rate. Even worse, due to the way ratings get weighted by the system, a single 0.5-star rating would require 8~9 5-star ratings to counterbalance. Even a 3-star rating requires 3~4 5-star ratings to counterbalance, and 4.5-star ratings which should normally be considered good actually pull the average down, due to rating creep prevalent on the site. I know this sucks – it’s why many websites like YouTube have dropped the rating system altogether in favour of a like/dislike system. But it is what it is - I don't make the rules.

That’s all to say that taking a few seconds to rate goes a long way and would be much appreciated. Here’s the link to make your life easier. If you don’t have a RoyalRoad account, don’t worry – you can easily sign in with google, or facebook or something. It will only take a few seconds and you just have to click on three buttons next to each other: follow, favourite and a number of stars of your choice. That’s it :D It would make my day!

2.     Reviews and Advanced Reviews (HERE!): These are like ratings, just the upgraded versions. You still leave a score from 0.5 to 5, but you also leave a few words describing the story for other people. I think reviews are taken into consideration more heavily too. Advanced reviews take this even further, because you have to read at least 10k words to be allowed to write them, and they require you to score the story on 5 different categories. It’s more effort than a simple rating, but if you’ve got the time, it would help! Again, here’s the link.

3.     Recommend to a friend (YOU CAN SHARE THIS REDDIT POST FOR CONVENIENCE!): This is actually the only way for me to reach people who aren’t on RoyalRoad. If you are enjoying the book and you have a friend or family member you think might also like it, please consider telling them about it! Earlier today I made a reddit post to promote the story on r/isekai, and it contains the book’s cover and description, so you can just share that for convenience! Thanks!
