[POLL] Getting some feedback - Which are your favourite arcs so far?
Added 2025-06-13 06:02:01 +0000 UTCIt's been a while since I last did one of these, and the previous times were pretty early on, so there wasn't as much content in the series yet anyway. Now that Book 3 is already over in the Yellow-born tier, I figured it's as good a time as any to do another.
Keep in mind that I've already outlined Book 4 and written a huge chunk of it. I also have some pretty complete plans for the next couple of books after that. So don't expect the results of the poll to alter the entire trajectory of the series or anything huge like that. I just think it's helpful to be aware of my audience's response while writing.
Please select the arcs you like the most. I've consolidated some which happen in multiple parts into a single entry. Multiple options can be chosen. Also, if you want to leave more detailed feedback, now is the time. Just comment below.
NOTE: This post will be available for everyone - including free members - so please refrain from commenting any spoilers.

There is definitely some difference between different arcs. Those arcs that move the story in intriguing ways and those doing it more through blunt encounters. Sol is nice because it comes back, Atlantis because the strangeness of it all, Felmara because it connects loose ends together, but less so Torui and the floating cats. The vault is similar to the pantheon, too powerful AND already too close, although Percy learning magi script over there is a nice arc. It could also function as an extension to Felmara as I am sure Metatron (I don't like that name, less poetic than all the others) has knowledge about the universe. Probably his unique position with Metatron is better to put forward. Having multiple Percy like figures ending up there might put the planet in danger of. being taken over or destroyed by Metatron (to keep the secret from others).

2025-06-14 16:39:19 +0000 UTCJust here from the latest free chapter to say, visiting 15 world with life and getting nothing valuable with a dimensional pocket is either stupid on Percy or a deliberate plothole imo.

2025-06-13 23:53:02 +0000 UTCI'll agree with a few of the above comments. I love the variety. I love seeing new alien worlds and societies, which then give insight into how the world works, and increase the MC's power and understanding.

2025-06-13 17:07:59 +0000 UTCOne of the great things about this series of books is the variety. I like the occasional POV change, but here there is also the chance to explore completely new worlds and situations outside of Percy's world, without hurting the main story. It think has been done very well so far too. Percy is overpowered, but it is done in a way that feels right. He doesn't necessarily take all of his advantages to other worlds with him where it makes him OP as soon as he lands. Not all of his advantages are things that are exclusive to him either, they can be used by other people, which makes some of his superiorities tenuous.

2025-06-13 12:16:45 +0000 UTCThe hunting for Percy could have been better executed, since he starts to be hunted I became more and more bored with the story. Some parts are difficult to believe, tha karma mage going alone for the glaring one. The kidnaping of Mike was made very similar to the Hunt, out of nowhere and with little consequence so far. That said, I like the story, the soul clones are intersting, but sometimes the acts and consequences seems disconnected of the world building you are doing.

2025-06-13 11:21:14 +0000 UTCI enjoy the world building and seeing how different places have adapted to the same problems, as well as Percys constant work at overcoming his limitations.

2025-06-13 11:18:21 +0000 UTCI feel I should point out that there’s something I like from all the options listed, even Torui, which helped Percy forge his armor. Also trees that choke out a planet is wild idea that was cool to me

2025-06-13 10:26:36 +0000 UTCYeah, one of the things i really appreciate about Percy’s progression is the amount of hard work and experimentation that goes into his innovations. Sometimes it all comes together in a big battle, but it never comes out of nowhere. I also like that he’s standing on the shoulders of giants - he’s not the only genius in a universe of idiots like some MCs in this genre. He’s learning from & building upon the world around him. He’s a brilliant alchemist because he was tutored by a brilliant alchemist, then studied on Atlantis, a civilisation with alchemy at its heart. He’s a brilliant rune-crafter because in the vault he got to study the best runecrafting system in universe etc etc. It makes the world feel real.

2025-06-13 09:55:44 +0000 UTCFloating cat arc was good, it really felt like a alien World. I would be open to some beast type worlds especially since Percy can now harvest plants and stuff.

2025-06-13 07:44:09 +0000 UTCI wish to see more of the perspective of the same person in the latest two chapter's as they watch events unfold.

2025-06-13 06:54:41 +0000 UTCI like the worldbuilding stuff and the world travelling and exploring. Percy being a lizard then immediately getting eaten was also funny.

2025-06-13 06:52:00 +0000 UTCOne of the favorite accomplishments of Percy’s is when he figured out how to use teal powder in alchemy. This is the only bit of knowledge Percy discovered mostly on his own after he had been given the tools to do so. This is distinctly different to just swiping complete information as is typical for Percy. I would like to see Percy taking more disparate spells/alchemy/runes and synthesizing them into something greater through simple ingenuity (though preferably not by handwaving the process with a mid-battle breakthrough). Also! I suggest you shouldn’t take Patreon poll’s too seriously, as most writers I’ve spoken to/heard of have found that taking the advice as it appears generally leads to the greater audience (as in, those who aren’t following patreon) disliking the changes. An interesting phenomena and perhaps something to keep in mind

2025-06-13 06:26:42 +0000 UTCHard to choose! In general I enjoy the most when arcs include both world building, and when the powers build up on something previously discovered or discussed. I also enjoyed the return to house Avalon, and want to see them more, I guess? I can definitely say that the only arc I distinctly disliked, and skip consistently on my rereads, is Torui village. It’s too depressing, a world falling _and_ the whole father-son thing together is too much for me lol, but at least it’s short.

2025-06-13 06:10:22 +0000 UTCHonestly as the first Patreon member (kek just flexing) the story as been really nice I choose the last option because every new adventure is pretty fresh and also what I especially like is the discoveries (secrets, worlds, power, testing new areas , …, ) . Anyway thank you for the story keep it up !!!
