Doesn't that mean he already has the means to literally stitch runes into HIS OWN soul? Some resilience, toughness, preservation, mending, etc runes stitched into the fabric of his soul might be another avenue to getting more soul traits, or adding other power-ups.

2025-12-11 04:48:57 +0000 UTCThere is a risk though, Metatron is playing the long game and waiting for violet or clear, or maybe even god, Percy to provide him actual benefits, because he has potential. Actively cheating him can destroy the trust he's instilling in Percy. It's working so far, too, if you notice he doesn't even question the cube system or Metatron's bargains.

The fact Percy asked whether his other clones arrived yet should have made it obvious that they can't communicate and Metatron should absolutely be smart enough to realize he can take advantage of this, especially when Metatron knows Percy doesn't trust him anyways and still needs stuff from the vault so there's not really any risk on his end of scaring away Percy
