Kat gave Sarah a call.
She wasn’t quite sure what compelled her to do it. Maybe she was just looking for some reassurance.
Kat was sitting on the couch in her living room wearing a severely undersized cotton nightdress that covered a little over half of her belly. It was paired with some underwear and a pair of socks.
She had noticed that her panties had gotten small on her lately, a good portion of the undergarments pulling into her butt crack. Which meant that she was changing in other ways than just her abdomen. Her backside was getting bigger, broader, and softer. Her hips were getting wider, and thighs a bit fuller, while her breasts had definitely swollen up.
Kat looked down at the mounds in question.
They were the biggest they had ever been in her life. They must have jumped up a full cup size in just the past few days.
Kat cupped the mounds with her hands, grimacing from the discomfort this rewarded her. She estimated that they were DD-cups by now. But they were different from the way that regular breasts should have been. Rather than drooping naturally, they seemed full, almost bloated. They were highly sensitive and unexpectedly warm. Kat had stopped wearing bras, as the ones she owned simply did not fit her anymore. On top of that, she found it highly uncomfortable for her breasts to be compressed by any degree. Yet the discomfort of any contact with her nipples — particularly the sensation of fabric brushing against them as she moved about — was a strange and erotic brand of torture.
Yet somehow all of this was considered entirely normal. Pregnancy was fucking medieval by Kat’s book. She had no idea why other women were so quick to endure this.
She shifted somewhat, adjusting her top. Her hands now rested on her huge belly, which in turn, was perched against her lap, her thighs spread somewhat where they cradled the orb. It was still hard to believe how big she had become.
Kat didn’t know why she was feeling nervous. It wasn’t like they were going on a video call. She didn’t need to be presentable or even composed. Which wasn’t to say that she wasn’t composed. But she could admit that she was nervous. Not about herself, necessarily. It was almost like she didn’t want to speak to Sarah again. It seemed easier to just pretend that the other woman had never existed in the first place.
Though that would just be playing the denial game. Kat wasn’t a coward. She faced things head-on. How else could she have climbed so high up the corporate ladder? One did not get where Kat was by backing down from challenges and sticking their head in the mud.
And so, she drew a deep breath, and made the call. As it rang, Kat set the device on the coffee table and put it on speakerphone.
She probably waited longer than she should have. She practically flinched when someone picked up.
“Hello?” a voice croaked.
“Hi,” said Kat awkwardly. “…Sarah?”
“Kat?” Sarah’s voice was soft and breathy.
“Yeah,” said Kat, her body feeling tense suddenly. “Hey, I just wanted to…to see how you’re doing.” Kat winced after she said it. Surely this wasn’t just a social call. Surely she could have framed it to somehow be business-related. She and Sarah were not peers, and never would be. Of that, Kat was certain.
“Do you mind if we switch to video?” said Sarah, her voice strained. “I’ve been taking all my calls on my monitor. It’s tiring to hold the phone up.”
“Um…sure?”
Nearly before Kat had finished the word, her phone started beeping. She lifted it and saw that she was getting a video call from Sarah. Disconnecting the audio call, she accepted the video call, keeping the phone trained on her face, though it still showed a little of her body.
Sarah’s image popped up. “So much better,” she breathed.
Kat stared.
Sarah was massive.
The young woman was perched on a huge recliner, but the sheer expansiveness of her belly made it look as though it was swallowing both Sarah and the chair. Her abdomen looked like a boulder, and seemed full of activity, constantly shuddering or lurching, otherwise heaving up and down. It was on top of Sarah. It seemed to be pinning her there by its weight, which Kat could only estimate to be surpassing the rest of Sarah’s body.
The woman was clearly uncomfortable; full of strain, her face scrunching and contorting, her teeth pressed in a grimace
And even with the shock of her appearance, Kat came to realize that she was not seeing the full extent of Sarah’s pregnancy. The entirety of the orb didn’t even fit on the screen.
Sarah’s round breasts wobbled with her gasping breaths. “Kat, it’s so good to see you,” she said.
Kat opened and closed her mouth. She felt truly rattled. “Yes…it’s—”
She was cut off as Sarah released a groan, her brows scrunching and her face reddening. “Oh god,” she choked, her hands cupping the small portion of her belly that she could still reach. “Ngghhhh…easy…” she whined, seeming like she was pleading.
“Are you okay?” Kat was daunted. She suddenly regretted making this call, yet sat there frozen, unable to take action. Were she more functional, she might have just hung up.
“F-Fine!” Sarah proclaimed, as though to eclipse the “loudness” of her lurching body. She breathed heavily and audibly. “I’m fine,” she repeated, more calmly this time. She tried to smile, her face so young and overwhelmed. “The babies are just a little eager, aren’t you?” she addressed her stomach. “S-stay in mommy a little longer. Errrgghhh…” She arched her throat, her hand twitching where it clutched her side.
Kat was speechless. She truly couldn’t form words.
“K-Kat, you look a-amazing,” Sarah managed, gasping for breath. “I’m told you’re even bigger than I was at your stage.”
Kat sputtered. “No,” she said, fully rejecting the notion. “Don’t be ridic—no, I’m not nearly as big as you were.” She shook her head in denial.
Sarah blinked at her, and might have even argued, but she was soon back to grunting and moaning as she struggled to endure the latest bout of movement from the many babies packed inside of her.

After she had managed to get off the video call, Kat was back to sitting in silence in her living room, feeling even more troubled than before. She was frozen, staring blankly at nothing. Her whole existence felt like some deranged nightmare. How had she gotten herself into such a mess?
She wished she had never called Sarah. Perhaps she had been searching for reassurance or advisement, but it had been the wrong move, and seemed to have achieved the opposite outcome. Kat felt increasingly paranoid. There was no way she was turning into that…was she? The idea was horrific. Her chest heaved up and down, her breathing rapid.
Kat retrieved a bottle of wine and a glass out of a cabinet next to the couch. She wrenched out the cork, and was about to fill the glass to the brim, but then recalled her predicament. There would be no drinking for the time being. She sighed.
She was being transformed to some monster and there was nothing she could do about it. Her body was absurdly plump and fertile, hot and dewy, supple and tingly. Her mind spun endlessly with agitation and she blamed all the fucking hormones. She was being bred and grown. Transformed into something obscene. Like a pig so plump it could hardly function. A farm animal full to bursting with a massive litter.
Kat tried to shake the thoughts aside. She couldn’t go down this path. She couldn't collapse under the pressure. She had to stay focused and plan her next moves carefully.

Logan was quietly having the time of his life.
Still, he kept his expression carefully neutral.
He was truly impressed by what Kat had managed to do to herself in just the short weekend of the company retreat. To get herself lost in the factory and end up neck-deep in batter had been utterly brilliant. Logan didn’t think he could have devised a better plan himself.
He had come to realize that, when presented with food, Kat was going to eat it. It was compulsive. Addictive. The babies demanded it and she simply couldn’t help herself. She was a bottomless pit, and the effects were amazing. Sometimes Logan would fantasize about throwing her into another vat of batter and icing.
He knew that the new marketing campaign was her thing, and he didn’t explicitly need to be present for any of it. But they had been partnered for so long with the Oho’s project, by now Logan couldn’t help himself. He was along for the ride. He wanted to savor every inch of her progress.
“We’re here to celebrate our brand-new partnership with Socko’s Wholesale,” said Logan informatively to the customers who had curiously stopped by their stand.
They were set up in the biggest megastore of the Socko’s chain which was located conveniently in their large city. They were kicking off the new partnership with several promotions, including, free samples all day at their stand, as well as a free package of goop’ms pastries on every grocery order of $50 or more.
Executives didn’t usually do this type of grunt work, but Kat was going extra mile. After all, she had promised Roger to be front and center on this project.
There was even a new commercial, which was being played on repeat on a large TV screen above them.
Boddims products had taken over the whole section of the store. There were nothing but fat-cakes lining the six aisles surrounding them.
In the background, Logan could hear the new commercial starting up yet again. He had been forced to hear it so many times, he could perfectly visualize it.
“Honey, wake up.” A pregnant woman was shaking her husband awake.
The husband groaned, rubbing his eyes as he sat up in the bed. “What is it, Jen? It’s 2 AM!” Abruptly his eyes widened and he looked fully alert. “Wait, is it time?”
“No, I’m fine,” said the wife with a guilty smile as she cradled her round belly. “I’m just having a really bad craving.”
“Again? Seriously?” The aggrieved man rubbed his tousled head of hair. “Not—?”
“Goop’ms,” the wife chimed, intertwining her fingers and holding them to her chest as she gazed towards the heavens.
“When the cravings hit, go for goop’ms!” a charismatic voice declared as the image on the screen was replaced with various Boddims fat-cake desserts slowly raining down across a white screen. “Rich in calcium and other nutrient—the perfect snack for the whole family!”
Note the lack of pluralization. Just “nutrient.”
The commercial ended.
It was a shitty ad but Kat like to call it “retro.” It was better than saying that she had done the bare minimum and frankly hated this advertising campaign, which targeted pregnant women.
“So relatable,” said Kat with the fakest of laughs as she patted her belly.
The latest group of customers to visit their display didn’t seem to know what to think of it all. They cautiously looked at the pastry boxes or nibbled on samples, some of them marveling at Kat’s orb.
“Wow, when are you due?” some college-aged guy asked as he took a bite out of his third free pastry.
Her face plastered with a smile, Kat pretended not to hear the question. She wasn’t in her typical professional wear, but dressed casually today. She was supposed to come off as a true member of the community: friendly and relatable. Sweet and summery. She was wearing a strapless maxi maternity dress with a flower pattern, her hair down, no eyeglasses. She was a natural beauty, appearing surprisingly pleasant and serene.
And then there was her belly. It looked enormous where it tented out the dress, so big and round that people kept giving it second or third glances. As though they weren’t sure it was real. Kat carried it well, standing straight and cool with no hint of discomfort, her spine erect, shoulders back, and still, that serene smile.
Her tits looked amazing. Logan kept gazing at her cleavage, then her belly again, then her protruding navel. She was just so fucking pregnant. She looked overdue with triplets. She looked as though she had passed her due date then forgotten about it.
“Multiples?” said a woman. She had a bump of her own, but it was much smaller, maybe five or so months. She looked uncomfortably at Kat’s belly and was probably glad it wasn’t hers.
Kat ignored this question as well. “Be sure to try our limited-edition banana flavor,” she said, holding up a box as though she was a spokesperson. Which she essentially was, sort of. “At Socko’s you’ll find the best wholesale rates in the country.”
As composed as she managed to present herself to be, Logan knew that she was miserable. He loved watching her squirm; watching her pretend to be delighted rather than mortified.
“Well everyone, dig in,” she said genially, motioning to the free cakes. “I’m going to take a little bathroom break. Baby’s pressing on my bladder,” she added with a fake laugh.
Kat took off her apron and waddled off into the shelves to do who knew what. Logan hesitated, then followed her.
