“Justin, stop hitting your sister!” Jana separated the two toddlers with difficulty. She grunted as her back throbbed.

Watching the children wasn’t easy when Jana was eight months pregnant with quads, her massive belly stretching out her dress.

Sometimes Jana thought about the time when she had been John. But after three years, it was usually easier to not think about it. She proceeded with her new life as compliantly as he could, because fighting it hurt. Jana was tired of fighting.

Breathing thinly, she gazed around the chaotic living room. After three heavy pregnancies, she was surrounded by children ranging from two and a half years to eight months old. She was on her fourth pregnancy, and her OBGYN believed they were quads. God, she hoped they were quads. After her last birth yielded two more children than had been anticipated, Jana didn’t want any more surprise-babies. She rubbed her hands up and down her incredibly swollen belly, her plump breasts bulging against the very-low neckline of her sundress. “Mommy’s just going into the bathroom for a second,” she breathlessly forced out.

The children left Jana mostly ignored as they continued to crawl or stumble around with their toys. Jana waddled her way towards the bathroom, careful to avoid babies, as ungainly as she had become. All she needed was a minute. She closed the door. Jana made her way to the sink, absently smoothing her tight dress against her. It wrapped firmly against her swollen girl, and was very short, leaving most of her bronze legs exposed. Jana lifted her face back up to the mirror, idly examining her sun-kissed features.

She had even gotten use to her female, Arabian appearance, small beads of sweat now permanently littering her features. Her dark hair was long, and hung in her face unless she pulled it back. Jana’s eyes trailed down to the round, engorged E-cups on her chest. Beneath them, her beachball-sized belly gently heaved up and down with her heavy breathing. Another month, Jana thought to herself, feeling miserable, but resigned, as well. Another month, then they could start work on the next batch. Which begged the question…when would this end?

There was a knock on the door. Jana looked up to watch it open behind her through the mirror. Fred stepped in, a content smile in place.

“You’re home early,” Jana breathed, her voice always naturally sensual regardless of what she said.

Fred nodded, and approached her, pressing himself behind her to idly wrapping his arms about her waist. His hands weren’t even close to meeting so he absently rubbed her mound. “God, you’re gorgeous,” he said wistfully. “I wish you could stay this way forever.”

Jana’s skin tingled in a familiar sensation, despite that Fred’s wish had been redundant. He had made it several times before. In fact, she had nonchalantly wished the two of them into a state of immortality. Neither had aged a day in the past three years.

“Mmmm…” was Jana’s only response, her eyes flitting down as Fred started to kiss her neck. She wondered if this relationship would go on infinitely, much like their lives would. She knew there was no chance of Fred ever letting her go. Would she just keep popping out baby after baby until Fred wished them a bigger house?

“I wish…I wish…”

She placed her hands atop Fred’s. “I know.”
