-

The jacket was from his pre-pregnancy days and had no hopes of wrapping around him, but it kept Lucas’s shoulders warm. At least until Lucas was feeling quite warm and he found himself pulling the jacket off and dumping it on the grass. Maybe he would encounter it again on his way back home. Maybe he wouldn’t.

Lucas trekked on.

He was sweating profusely by then. He was too disoriented to even try to figure out how much time had passed. He just knew that he had been walking a while, and as fast as his bloated body would allow. He didn’t want to be caught in the daytime where scrutinizing eyes would tear him to pieces with their shock and awe of his state.

Lucas had to take another break.

He slowly eased himself down on his shaky knees before settling against his full, plump ass. He leaned back on one of his hands to take as much weight as he could off his udder. He then sat there and breathed as he held his belly with his free hand, the mound rising and falling as he struggled to catch his breath.

His nipples were seeping—nothing too severe. His cheeks were flushed pink, his breasts engorged. He would be happy when this pregnancy was over with.

After several minutes, Lucas knew that he had to keep moving. It took quite the effort to get himself up. He held his hands to the grass behind him as he struggled to get his feet beneath him without losing his balance. Once he had succeeded in standing straight, he hunched slightly, gripping his belly, and hating the sensation of its weight protruding before him. Taking just a few more moments to catch his breath and reorient himself, Lucas waddled along, his face flushed. He supposed this was what it felt like carrying a boulder around. The fact that his body had managed to grow such a massive mound of babies continued to astound him.

It wasn’t much longer before his destination came into sight. The farm. Lucas approached the massive barn as he was flooded with a combined relief and exhaustion. He had to stop, and lean back against it, hoping to take some of his weight off his sore back. Dizzy as he was, he tried to ponder upon how he would get inside. The crawlspace that he had used in the past obviously wasn’t going to work out for him now. Maybe the lock on the side of the barn had been left undone for the night. Lucas doubted so. And if it wasn’t, he would have no other option than to break in—he wished he had thought to bring some tools. In his condition, he was far too weak to do much by means of force. This suddenly seemed hopeless.

Lucas was distracted from his thoughts by a faint, chemical aroma in the air. And he suddenly felt extremely tired. His head dropped as his shoulders slumped, and there was suddenly only blackness.

-

Lucas was not sure how long he was unconscious. When he came to, he was not where he had been.

In fact, he was now…inside of the barn? It would appear that he was, at least based on the smells of hay and manure. Lucas felt lethargic and weak, and it took him a while until he was able to lift his head off the plump cushion of his breasts.

His vision swam as he tried to take inventory of his dimly-lit surroundings.

Yes, he was in one of the rooms in the interior of the barn with no windows, bales of hay and loose straw lying around, and some thin hoses hanging down from the ceiling. Lucas could also see that elevated bridge that passed over most of the rooms of the barn—the one he had taken his tour on. Looking down at himself, Lucas saw that he was perched in a low chair, probably something the farm hands used to milk the cows. It was wooden, and creaked forebodingly beneath his weight, but at least it had a back. And he was sitting with his legs spread wide, positioned in a way that would prevent his belly from putting too much pressure on his udder, thankfully.

…but he was also restricted. It was only then that Lucas noticed that he could not move his arms. He tried to shift, and recognized the discomfort of something bounding him. Though not entirely visible, there seemed to be a rope tied around him, above his belly but beneath his breasts, also looped around his arms, to tightly restrict him to his seat. Lucas breathed heavily, his mounds heaving as he started to panic.

“Moooo…” something moaned.

“Mmm?” Lucas looked around in confusion. It was only then that he noticed, shadowed in the corner of the room, was a cow. But not just any cow. Lucas recognized the honey fur and he knew that it was the cow that had fallen victim to the farm’s experimental fertility treatments. Lucas had to blink a few times to digest the sight of it. The cow’s abdomen was so hugely swollen, it was perched against the ground beneath it. The cow’s engorged udder was thrice the size that it should have been, and bulging out between its legs.

“Moooooo…” the cow moaned distressfully. The heifer’s legs fumbled, as though it didn’t know whether or not to perch himself against the massive mound. It wouldn’t be long before the cow’s legs would not be able to contact the floor at all.

Lucas continued to gape at it in shock and horror. What had they done to the poor creature?

There was a puff of greenish spray that hissed out of a pipe protruding from the wall by the cow’s face. The cow moaned again.

Though Lucas was perched on the other side of the room, he still got a whiff of the spray, and he could sort of taste its sweetness on the back of his tongue. His face reddened as his four breasts and udder tingled, the five mounds seeming to tighten as Lucas coughed and gagged, his belly rocking, and the chair creaking perilously.

A door on the adjacent wall suddenly swung open and three figures entered the room. Two of them were wearing lab coats—a slim woman with dark hair in her thirties or so, and a man with brown hair who looked to be in his forties. An older man also accompanied them. He hung behind the other two, dressed in jeans, a plaid shirt, and a baseball cap. Lucas recognized him as the farmer.

The three approached Lucas as the eighteen-year-old panted and groaned. He winced up at them, struggling to maintain his composure. So were these the people who had tied him up? “Mmmmm…” Lucas moaned. He pressed his lips but the sound continued to force its way out of him. His breast flesh began to bulge out from the tightening neckline of his top.

“Astounding,” muttered the coated man as he stared down at Lucas. “I didn’t think it could be true.” He took Lucas’s chin and forcefully raised Lucas’ face so that he could better examine him. His free hand prodded at Lucas’s cow ears. Lucas flapped them down against his head. “Simply astounding,” the doctor repeated.

“He appears to be comprised of both human and cow DNA,” said the woman. “Based on my preliminary exam, somehow he is extremely pregnant. Practically burstingwith young. And they share his spliced human-cow DNA.”

“How is this even possible, Reed?” said the brown-haired man.

“Your guess is as good as mine, Reynolds. I will do a search of all the geneticists in the area. Honestly, this reeks of Webber. He will be my first call—”

“Don’t.” Reynolds cut her off. He pulled a stethoscope out of the left pocket of his lab coat and began to press it against the cleavage of Lucas’s upper breasts.

“Mmmmm…” Lucas wanted to speak, but his lips just didn’t seem to be working in his distressed state. His eyes watered. He wanted to tell them yes, to please call his father, but all that came out were more cow-like moans. “Moooooo…” Lucas hated himself at that moment.

“He could be useful to our purposes. It wouldn’t hurt to study him for a few days,” Reynolds continued.

“He’s just a kid,” Reed noted. “He can’t be anything over twenty.”

“It’s an animal,” Reynolds corrected Reed. He lifted up Lucas’s top to press the stethoscope against his belly. “Massive.” Reynolds whistled. “Just look at it. I doubt it has any comprehension of what’s going on.”

The two scientists look at the farmer, who shrugged.

“As long as there aren’t any…legal issues involved,” he said.

Reynolds waved his hand dismissively. “Not a possibility. This thing is nothing more than a science experiment. If we’re allowed to draw even a fraction of knowledge about its condition, the profits would be worthwhile. Within the next few years, we could be providing dairy to the entire coast.”

The farmer seemed to brighten at this. “Well, if there won’t be any troubles.” He tipped his hat to Reed and walked off, now with a bounce in his step.

Lucas became flushed in anger. He wasn’t a thing. The farmer didn’t even recognize him from the class tour. Well, why would he? Lucas had just been one of a jumble of students, and his small frame had in no way resembled his present, expansive, dimensions. Lucas felt his eyes well with frustrated tears.

As the barn door closed behind the farmer, Reynolds turned to smirk at a frowning Reed. “Let’s get to work.”
