When Geto tries to steal Togiβs cursed spirit (the one holding all his weapons) it gets rejected, because he canβt take a curse thatβs bonded to a person. And in the movie thatβs the logic everyone base his abilities off of. They donβt think heβs trying to take Yutaβs curse. But when Toji dies, we see the curse crawl towards him. And in the movie, we see him use Tojis exact curse. Meaning that he canβt steal a binded curse spirit unless he kills the curse user. I think they say that in the movie, but itβs just interesting to see when he first discovers it.
