So... I'm making a flowchart of the possible plot-lines (yes, there would be multiple) for the RAGS game I'm thinking about making... The only problem is that as I'm working on it, I'm thinking about it in increasing level of detail and I'm getting more and more ideas about stuff that could be added to it. This makes everything inflate and bloat in size and scope and it may get out of control rather quickly...
I'm attaching a small, very scaled down shot of the flow chart I created just for the playable Intro of the game that pretty much determines which main plot line will the rest of the game follow.
At the moment there are 4 possible plot lines the story can follow and only one of them can end with a "Good End" (or "mission accomplished" kind of end, so to speak). One should lead to a "Undecided" open-ending and the remaining two plot lines would simply throw the player into a pretty much a minefield of traps to navigate through, avoid or fall victim to, resulting in various "Bad Ends".
Speaking of which... The Bad Ends are not limited to the main story lines. There are already 4 possible ways to end early for the player even in the playable intro where 3 of those are actually "Bad Ends" and one of those Bad Ends involves a cameo of certain character very well known to the community =)
