Midnight Wishes
Added 2021-12-31 14:22:03 +0000 UTCAs the old, ornate clock started to strike midnight Ellen and her mysterious, wealthy host had a toast to the New Year for it to be better, more exciting and much less stressful than the one that just ended.
And with the last strike of the clock, everything changed!
Ellen’s body froze in place. Her ability to breathe, to speak... To do anything was suddenly gone and in the following moments and to her silent surprise, Ellen realized that the New Year is definitely going to be very different than not only the one that just ended but literally any that preceded it as well!
All the everyday stress, worries and hard choices she had to deal with in past days, months and years suddenly became irrelevant as all that mattered from that moment for the next several decades was to make all her future owners happy with how well she can serve her newly gained purpose.
However, in her new and completely inanimate form, even that was something totally beyond Ellen’s own control!
